	I am trying to do a pdf file to excel conversion. The file has a password and once I have opened it I am trying to convert it. However once start the process it fails with the error <strong>"The pdf file could not be converted due to internal security preventing content extraction". </strong>The problem is if I try this on Wondershare PDF Element it converts it just fine with no errors. Is this a known problem with the Nitro application ?  For the file I am trying to convert all the security settings actually show as allowed.

	With Nitro Pro 11, choosing the "Print Ready" option for "Make PDF files" resulted in the images not losing any quality (at least they didn't appear to). With Nitro Pro 12, the images are definitely being reduced no matter which option I choose (the resulting file size is smaller than the image). The image is definitely fuzzy when the PDF is printed. Is there a problem with this feature in Nitro Pro 12?

	What a goddamn joke. I started a new topic, detailed my questions and issues with the software, clicked on Submit Topic and ... sends me to some worthless bullshit site to register.
</p>

<p>
	So where is my submitted topic? How do you find ANY support from this POS company?
</p>

<p>
	Now I will recreate the post that has mysteriously disappeared and my guess is that I am continuing to waste my time asking for any help from you rotten bastards ...
</p>

<p>
	We upgraded to 12.16.0.574 sometime last year (SN 234601-XXXXXX-XXXXXX) and had a number of issues we struggled with Nitro to address after paying for “VIP Access” (another joke). That purchase was supposed to include the next “upgrade” which never materialized – or at least we were never notified of its availability. I did not pay much attention because Nitro Pro was operating satisfactorily … until about four or five weeks ago when I started having trouble – all of the sudden – with ALL of the functions. You cannot select the portions of the document you need to (Highlight, Select text, Type Text, Call Out, Text Box ....), NONE of the 'Home' or 'Review' functions are working correctly. <span style="font-size:11pt;">Nitro Pro will no longer allow placement of any features. </span>Try to move a typed text and Nitro will only move it in “blocks”. I don’t know how else to describe it. You try to move a number or word in a column or box and nitro jumps to another part of the document entirely – inches away. Same for every damn function.
</p>

<p>
	SO ...
</p>

<ol start="1" type="1"><li>
		<span>is our VIP access expired and, if so, when?</span>
	</li>
	<li>
		<span>Why did we not get the upgrade when the next version was released?</span>
	</li>
	<li>
		<span>What can a user do to “fix” these new bugs that were not present before?</span>
	</li>
	<li>
		<span>Is there anyone at Nitro Pro that actually cares about their customers satisfaction?</span>
	</li>
	<li>
		<span>Can you please tell Scam Chandler and Gina O-really that they SUCK!</span>
	</li>
</ol><p>
	Any response would be greatly appreciated - and frankly surprising.
</p>

<p>
	Even if someone does respond, how the hell will I know? This forum is infuriating - as is my unfortunate relationship with Nitro
</p>

<p>
	Sincerely,
</p>

<p>
	Greetings to the Nitro Community and the Nitro Pro Development Team,
</p>

<p>
	I've been asked by my team leader to evaluate various PDF authoring s/w and recommend the one that best meets our requirements. Nitro Pro is among the top candidates, but <strong>I've discovered a bug that is too serious to ignore!</strong> I've tried several times to convert <strong>Word documents that contain headings</strong>, to PDF using the latest Trial Version of Nitro Pro. The conversion appears to complete OK and the resulting PDF is of excellent quality, but <span style="color:#c0392b;"><strong>the Word document's headings are <u>not</u> transferred to the PDF as bookmarks!</strong></span> For the conversions I've used the Nitro Pro Word Add-on, and have ticked the checkbox "Convert Heading Styles to Bookmarks". I've tried many combinations of different settings and quality selections for the PDF output, but the resulting PDF files never contain any bookmarks. When I simply save the Word document as PDF (using Word's built-in PDF converter), all headings are correctly transferred as bookmarks to the resulting PDF file. I've reproduced this behaviour in two different computers running different versions of MS Office under different versions of Windows. In all cases, Nitro Pro somehow completely ignores the heading data when creating the PDF files, even though the selected settings specify that the heading data should be used. Furthermore, <span style="color:#c0392b;"><strong>the same issue occurs when converting from Excel to PDF!</strong></span> Again, no bookmarks are generated in the PDF for each Sheet, even though the option "Create Bookmark for Each Sheet" is selected.
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#c0392b;"><strong>The above is not acceptable behaviour.</strong></span>
</p>

<p>
	Another minor bug in the Word and Excel add-ons is that, in the window that pops up when clicking the "Advanced" button, the "Help" button doesn't work (doesn't do anything). This indicates to me that the Word/Excel add-ons may have been developed very quickly and not thoroughly beta-tested. Version details are given below:
</p>

<ul><li>
		Nitro Pro 12.12.1.522 (Trial Version), tested on the following:
	</li>
	<li>
		Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016
	</li>
	<li>
		Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010
	</li>
	<li>
		Windows 7 Ultimate
	</li>
	<li>
		Windows 10 Professional
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Can the development team please look into this, and let me know if you can reproduce this behaviour? If yes, is there any chance that you can fix this bug soon? If you want, I can provide sample Word/Excel files, and the resulting PDF files that demonstrate the bug.
</p>

<p>
	Many thanks for your help. Looking forward to your reply.

	I have a user that is experiencing on and off issues with Nitro Pro PDF Ver 13.
</p>

<p>
	When converting documents the user will get either blank pages or pages that have the information on said document completely cut off or not there and only partial of the document is present.
</p>

<p>
	There is no consistent behavior as it is sporadic when it occurs. I have examples of what happens to a document and what the previous file looked like.
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this or how to resolve this issue?

<p>
	Hi, new here and I can't find anything to help me with this. I'm having problems converting a Word document to PDF.
</p>

<p>
	I have lots of hyperlinks - some are written as the full url, and some are hyperlinks behind shorter display text. The ones where the full url is visible in the document are converting to clickable links in the pdf. But the ones where I've used different display text (ie a word or 2) are not clickable in the pdf. They work fine in Word.
</p>

<p>
	I have ticked the "convert links" in the Nitro tab in Word. Using 11.0.3.134.
</p>

<p>
	If anyone can shed light on this I'd be really grateful. It's driving me mad.

<p>
	I've struggled with how inaccurate the OCR is for quite some time, but I finally received a document where it mattered so much that I did a comparison, a scanned legal (application) document.
</p>

<p>
	Nitro spent a bit of time processing the OCR... and couldn't find any cases of "NE 10th", which are all throughout this.  Nor "NE10th".  Nor NELO, nor NEIO... I was trying ever-so-hard to determine what it could be seeing.  And only two cases of "10th" at all, as part of a larger address.
</p>

<p>
	So I imported the PDF into the free NAPS2 scanning software.  NAPS2 is a really great scanner, but also has an OCR component.  I'd never tried this before, but it can indeed import a PDF.  And then I had it create, from the PDF, a PDF.  At which point it OCR'd it.  And found the NE 10th instances.  (And 10th instances too.)
</p>

<p>
	Dear GoNitro... I paid money for this product.  Why can't it work at OCRing PDFs as a free product does that wasn't even designed for that?
</p>

<p>
	The PDF is at <a href="https://development.bellevuewa.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_4779004/File/pdf/Land" rel="external nofollow">https://development.bellevuewa.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_4779004/File/pdf/Land</a> Use/19-105108-LP.pdf

	I had 3 PDF (v1.7) files with tables I converted to Excel.  I started by deleted extraneous pages, then deleting extraneous content on the remaining pages so that the only content was the tables of interest.  Generally, the conversion process worked like a charm.
</p>

<p>
	The problem is so many of the words have extraneous spaces in them, and I have to manually re-group the words.
</p>

<p>
	Examples of words I need to manually correct:  "b rake", "br ake", "bra ke", "un it", "ou t", "ope n", "supp ress"
</p>

<p>
	I saw one thread in the community citing this issue.  The response referred to OCR settings in the user guide.  The Nitro Pro settings were already set as advised. I noticed OCR→Recognition→Qualty = medium, so I changed it to High &amp; re-converted.   There was no appreciable difference in the conversion output.

	Hi! I am trying with Nitro Pro 13 to convert multiple HTML files to PDF. When converted the PDF does not show the full HTML page, it cuts the width so there's missing information. Is there a way to automatically adjust to convert the full HTML page avoiding missing information? Many thanks!
