  1. If I want to move pages within a document, it appears to be a clumsy slow process. I am currently highlighting/selecting the pages then dragging them up the document via the thumbnail images on the left hand side. If you have a large document, this can take far too long. You should be able to select the pages you want to move; then go to the place you want to insert the pages; then click 'move here before / after this page (as with inserts I recollect which works this way).

I was thrilled at the release of Nitro Pro 13, but I am disappointed because from version 12 these are the main things that aren't in Nitro 13: -Automatic form recognition (present in competitors software) -Automatic update from the Nitro App (also present in competitors software). I would like to see these features added as soon as possible, because I think that are essential, especially the automatic update feature. Thank You.

  4. Hi, I'm trying to add the esign in multiple pages in the same pdf. Do I need to add the signature option per page or is there anyway to add it at once and it gets added it to every page? Thank you!

  5. Our Company (very largest Fortune 500 company w/ ~28,000 employees) and Engineering group is looking at switching from Adobe Pro to Nitro Pro for pdf viewer/editor. I am really liking Nitro Pro so far, but I am a manager in our Engineering group and we are really confused that Nitro Pro does not also have an iOS/Android app as the Adobe Creative Cloud had. This would be a huge benefit as many Engineers including myself use an iPad Pro for drawing markups and field notes and having the ability to have the pdf editor and working files across all devices has been so efficient and streamlined in Adobe Pro. We find it very odd in this day and time that Nitro Pro is only accessible via computer when all other major applications have streamlined access and work flows across ALL devices. Nitro Pro is really missing this key functionality and is a shame from what I’ve seen so far is otherwise a great pdf editor. I know that many end-users, especially in Engineering and Construction fields, are looking to have a pdf editor they can use at their desktop and then access in the field on a tablet. This is the only reason we are holding off switching from Adobe to Nitro Pro and would love to see this functionality in the very near future.

  6. I have a few suggestions that I think would improve/extend the functionality of combining documents... Remove the automatic addition of page numbers to bookmarks. Does anyone actually need this given that a bookmark means you jump straight to the page - you don't need to know the page numbers! I'm wasting hours editing every bookmark in every combined PDF to remove the page numbers. If some people want them, can we have an option to include the page numbers or not? Remove the file name extension in the bookmarks, or give us an option to include them or not Option to change the font size of the bookmarks Shortcut key to edit a bookmark - would speed up the process of editing many bookmarks as you could work with the keyboard only, without having to keep using the mouse to right-click>rename the next one and the next one etc. Many thanks!

  7. I wanted to change some fields from mandatory to optional but when I clicked on the fields nothing happens and I cannot delete or drag and drop new fields. I had to log out of Esign and back in and reopen the template and then it would let me edit--there should be an editing icon in the task bar at the top!

  8. Nitro Cloud would be perfect for my business except I cannot see an option anywhere for a checkbox when sending a document to be esigned. I do not mean the checkboxes on the pdf, they are already there. I mean checkboxes that can be checked by the recipient themselves while esigning.

  9. Hi! When I do more than one digital signature. The first signature shows a warning icon and the following message: "The revision of the document that was covered by this signature has not been altered; however there have been subsequent changes to the document" Why does it shows this message? Does this mean the signature is invalid? What can I do if I want both signatures to show "the document has not changed since it was signed"? Thanks

  10. Hava a licensed and activated copy of Nitro pro v. 13.9.1.155. Every time I start get an "Error 401" and have to click through to proceed, annoying to say the least. Have tried updating and uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Also have to log in to Nitro online either a) before using app or b) before using any online feature like signing no matter whether I check the "remember me" check box or not.

It would be awesome if I could have a "signature request" template created that has standard message content, so that I don't have to copy and paste the same content into the email message body. This template could then be added onto any document that I want to send. The default is always to general for me to send to my clients. To further this request, I would also love to be able to have a template that I can tweak if I want to further personalize it. AND, the ability to choose the number of signors.

  12. I'm using Nitro Pro ver. 13.49.2.993 . When Nitro Pro is set as default app for PDF documents whole Windows desktop including the application taskbar is freezing and like refreshing every 60-90 sec. When it's happening the MS File Explorer is closing down and have to be reopened from scratch. Also when typing a text in Outlook message the kayboard is like hanging and off use for some 5-10 sec. When set Acrobat Reader DC is set as the default app for PFD files all works correctly. Felikss

  13. Andy, have you checked to see if Outlook has disabled the add-in? This has happened with several of our users, and Outlook flat-out refuses to stop disabling the add-in. Nitro's solution is a very subpar "edit the registry" fix that is light on details. I'm sorry to see your complaint has fallen on deaf ears: that means the chance of a rapid solution to my problem isn't near.

The description of the problem is absolutely correct about everything - all those flashings and reloading of taskbar, file explorer windows closes etc.etc.. All above comments are also the same with me. You are right, @AllainU didn't understand the issue we have . I have no problems to set Nitro Pro PDF as my Default PDF app, just when I do that all those problems starts again! Still expect to get some support from Nitro! regards, Felikss

  15. Nitro Pro 13 version 13.49.2.993 latest update in September 10 Allain- I don't think what OP is getting at is changing the default pdf program is his problem. He means, it is Nitro causing problems when it IS the default pdf app! - I have now realized that, after the update, I had had a similar issue as OP with my desktop icons and taskbar reloading and flashing, file explorer or other open windows I was working with would close when the flashes took place every 10-30 seconds. Also, MS Outlook 2019 was reporting that "Nitro add-in" was causing Outlook to load slow. I thought it could be my monitor, so switched monitors- problems still occurred. Then, thought it was my pc beginning to crash. A computer tech tried So I ordered a brand new Dell Optiplex 7090 i7-11700- workied with the new pC for a number of hours the day I received it and it worked great until after I installed Nitro 13.49.2.993-the problems began occurring on my brand new PC immediately after the Nitro Pro 13 was install and activated! So, I uninstalled and deleted all of the files and found on your forums to use the 'clean up' file. I did that and redownloaded again. The same problems began happening. At this point I have again uninstalled all Nitro and ran the clean-up. I have been trying to find and install the version immediately before the latest update of 13- it worked fine, but I cannot seem to find where you had all of the recent update files. I had to find a reversion previously for another matter. I have been a licensed purchaser of Nitro for many years and this has been extremely frustrating and expensive! My PC works great without Nitro installed! Can you have your team please look into these issues and release a new Nitro Pro13 update to repair this? I keep checking back. RL

Just a heads up to @J Gorrell as well as anyone else having trouble with downloading the .msi files provided by @AllainU, please note that if you are using Chrome or any of the Chromium-based browsers (e.g., Vivaldi, etc.), you're more than likely experiencing the results of a new security feature that was silently pushed out to the browsers, which blocks .exe/.msi/etc downloads without any visible error or prompt on the browser's frontend user space. Here's how you would bypass the issue: Right-click the link you're trying to download, and select "Save link as..." Choose your save location and select "Save" On the bottom edge of your browser window, the Downloads bar should now appear and the file will show up with a red error icon, attempting to block the download. Press the caret button and select "Keep" And that should do the trick! Hope that helps. For anyone interested, this was where I first identified the issue was likely with Chromium.

Hello I have been using Nitro since October 26-2020, I just Monday I was asked to enter my serial number to activate the product, that's something I did the day I bought it, and when I enter the number I get an error saying it can connect that I have to do a manual activation and prompt's me with a Nitro Pro Activation Assistant that offers me a set of instructions to get a pre-generated certificate through a link "http://www.gonitro/activation" that I can't open from the activation script so when I put that address in my browser it get's me to a blank page that has no certificate and asked my to put the "pre-generated certificate" which I can not find anywhere. What's Happening? and How can we fix it?

  19. I have had the same problem as above and finally resolved the issue by using the download link provided above after 2 hours of searching this site. BUT, why do we have to jump through so many hoops to get an update for a paid product with Nitro? Surely the links to the *.msi file could be put on the webpage for valid customers or at least have the *.exe file work without a failure. This is my second update for Nitro Pro 13 & I had similar problems for the last update. Or add a working link from the "Help" menu within the product. Other software publishers seem to be able to do it!

  23. I'd like the ability to scan a document and have it open separate from an existing open Nitro 11 pdf. This feature would make drag-and-drop a little easier by enabling the user to read the new pdf before adding to an open existing one, i.e., right now all pdf's open in Nitro Pro together as tabs and having to put them in page view, them highlight the pages you want drag-and-drop, and then doing so and having to scroll up/down the existing document for the proper insertion point is cumbersome.

  26. Why was the autoupdate or autocheck feature disabled? It seems like every software I have has a feature to automatically check and alert the user that a newer version is available. Why Nitro has decided to intentionally deactivate this feature is beyond me.

  27. Hi, The documentation suggests that OCR s available for Chinese etc. but under my OCR choose language in Nitro 11.0.3 there are no options for Chinese *simplified or traditional) Japanese or Korean. Help, I need to OCR a Chinese document so I can get it translated.

  29. Hello, I keep getting error code 401 when I try opening a PDF in Nitro Pro. The error message says, "An error has occured within our system. Please try again or contact support if this error persists". I click "Ok" on the error message and it lets me open the PDF but I need to click the "Ok" button every time I open a PDF in Nitro Pro. If I log out and log back in, the error message goes away for a day but comes back the next day. It is very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  33. How do I send a fillable PDF form for completion by invitee before signing. The signature request is the easy part. The Fillable form cannot be filled by the invitee (seems like only the sender can fill the form) This form needs to be filled by my client with their details. Please advise Regards, Latha

  34. I have a user that is experiencing on and off issues with Nitro Pro PDF Ver 13. When converting documents the user will get either blank pages or pages that have the information on said document completely cut off or not there and only partial of the document is present. There is no consistent behavior as it is sporadic when it occurs. I have examples of what happens to a document and what the previous file looked like. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this or how to resolve this issue?

  35. I've just found a better way. 1. Click on the "Type Text" Button (under the "Home" ribbon) 2. Click in your document where you want the tick to go 3. Go to the top let of screen - you will be able to change the font and the size from dropdown lists. Change the font to "Webdings", change the size to whatever you want (18 works well for my purpose) 4. type lower case a for the tick, lower case r for an X (or you could just type an X of course....).

  37. I'm wondering if anyone has ever gotten a fix for this issue? It is the most annoying thing ever! This issue and the "close all tabs" question going away has made me really dislike using this product. My whole office uses it and it makes our work day a little bit harder. We have version 11.0.7.425.

  38. It would be really nice to be able to add licenses to our Pro Enterprise key online, without the intervention of an account manager. I have no problem with any of our account managers, they are very nice people however, sometimes surprises come up and I sometimes need to add a seat on the fly. It would be very cool if we could do this. If not that, then let us add a percentage of seats over what we originally paid for, then send us an invoice for the extras that were added.

  39. I paid for Nitro Pro and have been using it for years, but all of a sudden, when I open Nitro, it says that my trial period has ended. Trying to find a customer support phone number is near impossible and it's super frustrating. Does anyone have a phone number I can try? I don't know what my activation key is and I can't find any emails that may give me that number. Please help asap! Thank you

  40. I'm knew to Nitro but I LOVE it so far. I am creating a form fillable packet for our new hires. Yes, we still make them fill out employee paperwork. I would like to email the packet to them and have them fill the forms out AND sign them. I can't figure out how to allow them to do both at the same time. I can email them the forms to fill out and send back to me and then I send them back with a request for signature. I'm using myself as the test subject. Is there a way to allow them to do both at the same time and then send back to me? Thanks to all!

  42. Hello, Its been over 2 years since this suggestion. My post in the product improvement forum has had 0 replies. It is imperative that you understand the world does not only deal in documents in English or other western non unicode languages. NitroPDF is good but without language support it becomes an unusable product. I can't even save a file when dealing with non english text. Please highly consider support for unicode languages. Without it I am unfortunately unable to renew my subscription. Thank you.

  45. this has happened since I installed the latest version of Nitro. It seems to only affect docs that are in landscape more. The test seems to snap to align with the long direction of the page. It happens on every doc in landscape mode. For me, that is almost all my docs. I never had this issue with any previous versions. We have used nitro since version 8. the text rotates immediately when I stamp the doc. The outline does not rotate. just the text.

  47. In adobe one can use javascript to create a fillable dynamic stamp. This would be a useful default feature. the stamp would be like a form, or can be filled in via a dialog box Thousands of accounting departments use this method with their paper flows. It would be great to have a digital version. Right now the only "go Nitro" option is to 'stamp' or 'quick sign' the image of a stamp and then use 'type text' to type in the info...fiddly, time consuming. not good.

  48. Saving files always defaults to the previous folder saved. I work - like most - in several different folders and expect that the software will know where I am working. For instance: 1) in File Explorer if I want to merge several files, I right click and select Combine Files with Nitro Pro. When I save it wants to save in the last folder that I was using, not the folder where the files were located. 2) in File Explorer if I want to edit a PDF, I right click and select Edit in Nitro Pro. When I choose Save As instead of using the folder that the file is actually in, it goes to the folder that was previously used. This happens whether or not the program is activated from File Explorer or opened by clicking on the icon. All the other software that I use defaults to the folder the file opened is in, not the previous file's folder.

How do you access some sort of tagging pane and content pane in Nitro 12 to ensure correct reading order in JAWS or NVDA for the blind, or correct reflow order for users with limited vision? How do you add alt text to images?

  50. @bsc Supposedly this issue is going to be fixed in the next update, but if you don't want to wait until then, there is a workaround you can apply. If you're comfortable with editing the registry, you can force Shrink to Fit on always. I'll mention the usual warnings about the registry: Be careful making changes- things can break easily, and hard; make sure the thing you are trying to add or change matches exactly- many things are case-sensitive. Make a backup first. In this case, it's fairly low-risk to edit the registry and add the key you need here (it's a user key, instead of a machine key so you won't need admin rights). Open the registry, and go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nitro\Pro\11.0\Settings\Preferences\PrintSettings. If PrintSettings does not exist, please create it (New Key). Inside PrintSettings, please add a new String Value, and call it kPagePrinterScaleSelector. Double-click on your new string value, and enter in one of the following values: /i 0 (No page scaling) /i 1 (Expand page scaling) /i 2 (Shrink to fit)
