  1. If I want to move pages within a document, it appears to be a clumsy slow process. I am currently highlighting/selecting the pages then dragging them up the document via the thumbnail images on the left hand side. If you have a large document, this can take far too long. You should be able to select the pages you want to move; then go to the place you want to insert the pages; then click 'move here before / after this page (as with inserts I recollect which works this way).

  2. I was thrilled at the release of Nitro Pro 13, but I am disappointed because from version 12 these are the main things that aren't in Nitro 13: -Automatic form recognition (present in competitors software) -Automatic update from the Nitro App (also present in competitors software). I would like to see these features added as soon as possible, because I think that are essential, especially the automatic update feature. Thank You.

  3. Hi, in times of corona-caused "homeschooling" as teacher I'm enthusiastic about the capabilities of Nitro. When working with my Android-tablet i am missing this feature. I would appreciate an Android version of Nitro. Jeffrey42

  4. Having given up on this and reverted back to Nitro 10 for trouble free use, I then received a response from Leslie V. with a suggestion which worked for me. This is on Windows 10 64 bit with all updates - Right click on Nitro program file (or shortcut icon), Open Properties -> Compatability-> Change High DPI setting-> check box against High DPI Scaling Override. Worked for me!

  5. Whether I am typing text into a PDF or zooming or scrolling or whatever, the program pauses / hangs about every 5 minutes or less, the page I'm viewing will go slightly blurry and displays the little blue spinning circle in the center of the page while it is having its brain-fart which lasts for about 10 seconds before I can resume working. This isn't anything new.. It has been happening ever since I purchased the pro version. I'm using Windows 10. Any suggestions????

  7. Hi Alex, I would like to support Rene on this behalf. Since a while the auto-turning function of landscape pages within a multi-format document doesn't work when printing. I know that this was already working in past ... At the moment this is very anoying us. We have a lot of big multi-format pdf documents to print, where portrait and landscape pages a merged together. Now we have to search the document for any landscape pages to print them separately. And this is a high time consumption process if you have documents of about 150 to 200 pages. My current version is: Nitro Pro 11.0.7.425 So please give that issue a higher priority to fix! Cheers Joerg

  8. I keep customizing the Quick Access Toolbar in Nitro Pro (as I do in all my office apps). HOWEVER, Nitro seems to reset back to the default buttons on the toolbar upon reboot. WHY?

  9. This has been an issue for some time, and the copy & paste comments by reps is not helping. Do you have an estimate when this will be fixed? Very tiresome.

  10. It would be awesome if I could have a "signature request" template created that has standard message content, so that I don't have to copy and paste the same content into the email message body. This template could then be added onto any document that I want to send. The default is always to general for me to send to my clients. To further this request, I would also love to be able to have a template that I can tweak if I want to further personalize it. AND, the ability to choose the number of signors.

  11. Yes please, automatic form field detection is a fundamental feature that Nitro Pro should have. Automatic form generation was one of the primary PDF functions that I frequently used when I still had access to Adobe Acrobat Pro. I purchased Nitro Pro as a lower cost option, but I was disappointed to find out that it's missing this critical feature.

  12. Please add a feature to automate the creation of forms from an existing PDF (scanned or PDF converted from Word or Excel). Adobe Acrobat Pro has had this feature for many years. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/how-to/convert-word-excel-paper-pdf-forms.html?set=acrobat--fundamentals--pdf-forms Once the fields are generated automatically, the user can adjust and edit them as needed. I have a form that contains nearly 200 fields and it would be unnecessarily time consuming for me to convert it to a form in Nitro Pro. Thank you!

  13. Saving files always defaults to the previous folder saved. I work - like most - in several different folders and expect that the software will know where I am working. For instance: 1) in File Explorer if I want to merge several files, I right click and select Combine Files with Nitro Pro. When I save it wants to save in the last folder that I was using, not the folder where the files were located. 2) in File Explorer if I want to edit a PDF, I right click and select Edit in Nitro Pro. When I choose Save As instead of using the folder that the file is actually in, it goes to the folder that was previously used. This happens whether or not the program is activated from File Explorer or opened by clicking on the icon. All the other software that I use defaults to the folder the file opened is in, not the previous file's folder.

  15. I did run Nitro Pro in the full screen mode, but on a 15.6 inch laptop, it made no difference. The "Print" button is still off the screen. I believe, like everyone here, that the Print button is so important that it should be moved closer to the top of the screen. There seems to be some dead space in the area of where the printer drop down (printer selection) is located. Regards, Al Schoen

  16. I agree with Jurgen. I had reported this issue a while ago and, after upgrading to version 12, I see that the issue remains. I go to the print screen, most of the time, to simply press "Print". Where it is located means that I always have to scroll to find it. It would seem reasonable that the button and maybe the "Print Options" link should be at the top. Thanks, Al Schoen alschoen@hotmail.com

  17. Yes it's very time consuming, always scrolling down to hit the print button, the print button should be on the top left corner somewhere,

  18. Yes, I agree with Jurgen. The print button needs to be moved up so that I don't have to scroll down to select print.

  19. This isn't a resolution to the problem and Nitro Pro should be embarrassed that they put their staff in a position where they cant provide a resolution, or even a potential date for resolution, for a problem that was created by their software update. This is causing users lost productivity (I sure Nitro remembers that strange group of people, you know, customers, those people & organisations who pay your bills and make you profitable) - like others I have been using Nitro Pro for some time and don't want to use Adobe, but the impact of this error on productivity (and printing costs) may mean I will be forced to Adobe

  20. Question #1: When you select print and choose your print options under Page Scaling and for example 'shrink to fit printable area' or 'Use PDF page size to select paper source', how come those settings clear after you print the page? Is there a way to keep those settings in place and not check the box every time on a new print job? Question #2: After a you print a pdf, is it possible to have the print preview window automatically go away and back to your document you were working on, this would save a lot of extra clicks if you're doing document printing.

  22. I have the same problem. I have a paid annual subscription through 10/30/17. You cannot arbitrarily cut off a subscription to software that I have already paid for. Right now the software is useless as I cannot edit or markup pdfs which is a necessity for my legal practice. This issue should be rectified immediately by your company and not "as time permits" as was stated in the ticket response I received. I have paid your company an annual subscription for two years, under the premises that we would be get upgrades as part of that. Why would I have paid $99.95 per year for Nitro 10 if I was going to have to pay $159 for Nitro 11. I could have purchased Nitro 10 for less than the $199.90 I already paid. This needs to be rectified immediately. Either (a) I should be permitted to upgrade to Nitro 11 as part of my annual subscription or (b) I be given a serial number to activate Nitro 10 and be issued a refund for the cost difference between the $199.90 and what it would have cost to purchase Nitro Pro 10, as it was certainly less than $199.90 given that Nitro Pro 11 is only $159.00. This is no way to do business. Rest assured, if this is not resolved immediately, I will be switching to one of your competitors as this is nonsense.

  23. I upgraded my Nitro Pro 9 yesterday to 11. When I select print in the old version, once I had finished printing i.e. had hit print, it would automatically go back to the document just like apps such as excel and word, but now in Nitro 11, it stays in the print screen. how do I change it ? its a trivial problem I know, but annoying non the less

  24. Our Company (very largest Fortune 500 company w/ ~28,000 employees) and Engineering group is looking at switching from Adobe Pro to Nitro Pro for pdf viewer/editor. I am really liking Nitro Pro so far, but I am a manager in our Engineering group and we are really confused that Nitro Pro does not also have an iOS/Android app as the Adobe Creative Cloud had. This would be a huge benefit as many Engineers including myself use an iPad Pro for drawing markups and field notes and having the ability to have the pdf editor and working files across all devices has been so efficient and streamlined in Adobe Pro. We find it very odd in this day and time that Nitro Pro is only accessible via computer when all other major applications have streamlined access and work flows across ALL devices. Nitro Pro is really missing this key functionality and is a shame from what I’ve seen so far is otherwise a great pdf editor. I know that many end-users, especially in Engineering and Construction fields, are looking to have a pdf editor they can use at their desktop and then access in the field on a tablet. This is the only reason we are holding off switching from Adobe to Nitro Pro and would love to see this functionality in the very near future.

  25. I have a few suggestions that I think would improve/extend the functionality of combining documents... Remove the automatic addition of page numbers to bookmarks. Does anyone actually need this given that a bookmark means you jump straight to the page - you don't need to know the page numbers! I'm wasting hours editing every bookmark in every combined PDF to remove the page numbers. If some people want them, can we have an option to include the page numbers or not? Remove the file name extension in the bookmarks, or give us an option to include them or not Option to change the font size of the bookmarks Shortcut key to edit a bookmark - would speed up the process of editing many bookmarks as you could work with the keyboard only, without having to keep using the mouse to right-click>rename the next one and the next one etc. Many thanks!

  26. I wanted to change some fields from mandatory to optional but when I clicked on the fields nothing happens and I cannot delete or drag and drop new fields. I had to log out of Esign and back in and reopen the template and then it would let me edit--there should be an editing icon in the task bar at the top!

  27. Nitro Cloud would be perfect for my business except I cannot see an option anywhere for a checkbox when sending a document to be esigned. I do not mean the checkboxes on the pdf, they are already there. I mean checkboxes that can be checked by the recipient themselves while esigning.

  28. Hi! When I do more than one digital signature. The first signature shows a warning icon and the following message: "The revision of the document that was covered by this signature has not been altered; however there have been subsequent changes to the document" Why does it shows this message? Does this mean the signature is invalid? What can I do if I want both signatures to show "the document has not changed since it was signed"? Thanks

  30. I have been a Nitro Pro user for several years now and recently purchased a new computer. I wrongly believed that all I had to do was install the trial version and enter my NP 12 code and be working. Instead I am being sent in circles to deactivate and activate and being told my serial number is no good (I have the original email to prove purchase). Now I find that I can't get support from the company unless I upgrade to a VIP. Seriously? Can I get either some help on using what I paid for or a good alternative to Nitro Pro, in which case I will never bother this company or forum again.

  31. Hello I just installed Nitro pro 12.16.3.574 and i created a custom stamp. When I put the stamp on the drawing the text inside the stamp rotates 90 degrees, it is a dynamic stamp. When you use another kind of stamp it works fine, it does not rotate. What is the issue

  33. I find that the "Automatic page number links" feature great for working with my scanned documents. However some of my files start with a section which are numbered i,ii...ix roman style and the table of context is included in this section. The main document contents to which the TOC refers begins after this setion with normal numbering 1,2,3 etc. When using the auto link feature the links are then off by the number of pages in the first section. Thus alway jumping to the wrong page. It would be extremely usefull if an offset could be added to the links to give the correct page number in the link.

  36. I've been using NitroPDF for years and recently installed it on my new 13" HP envy. Although I don't remember it when I first started using Nitro on this computer, in the past couple of days, I noticed that at the top of the print dialog box I get a notification: "before you print...consider these easy-to-use features...". It seems to cause the font size of the entire print dialog box to become so small that I can't read it. I've altered the display resolution for other programs to correct this problem but the print dialog box in other programs doesn't have this issue. Is there anything I can do to correct this so I can read the print dialog box in Nitro?

  37. The user had 12.4.0259 I believe. I found a workaround that will work for us. Instead of making a stamp I made a signature with a transparent background check mark. I added it as a signature and now they can just use the signature tool as a check mark. It works really well and leaves behind only the check mark with a transparent background.

  38. Hello @AllainU "Fully opening the program" might be helpful on big desktop screens. But I am working always on 13 inch laptop and there the need for scrolling is really annoying. Please don't assume we are stupid users who fail to maximize screen. I completely agree to Rober L. A simple change could really improve situation. This is situation for me - and I think: for many others: Kind regards Jürgen

  39. Hi, It use to work, but for a long time, but now any page that is in landscape will not be printed correctly. I have multipages and a few of them are in landscape, the printer will only print in horisontal, this have been an issue for some time, but in earlier versions I did not have this problem.

  40. For a time, Nitro Pro only supported multiple files in separate tabs in a single window. Eventually they added a feature to create separate windows by dragging tabs outside of the initial Nitro Pro window, which is a step in the right direction. But I always prefer to have multiple files in separate windows, so always having to drag tabs out of a window is a chore. Could you please add an option under Preferences so that multiple PDF files always open in separate windows by default? - Simon

  41. When I try to print PDF file, the PRINT menu displays extremely tiny font size for the Printer selected, the Setting (Print All Pages), Uncollated, Paper Scaling. The font is so tiny I can barely see what are the words. This happens after I start using Nitro Pro 11 on the new HP X360 Spectre with 4K display. The computer can display 3840x2160. I did not have problem with previous PC with 1920 display resolution. I cannot find anyway to increase the font size display on the PRINT menu. Even I increase the display setting in Windows 10. So it is something related to Nitro Pro's display properties. The words of PRINT, PRINTER and SETTINGS are all very big. But the words inside the menu selection for these three titles are so small I need a 10X maginifier, and I still can barely see the words. Please advise how to increase the font so that it is not a pure PAIN to print with Nitro Pro 11 . Thanks!

  42. I've found a workaround for the issue (at least for me, it worked) Right click on the Nitro shortcut Click Properties Click the Compatibility tab Put a check in the "Override high DPI scaling behavior." and select "System (Enhanced)" from the drop down box. Click OK

  44. Agree. "Before You Print" options are useless. Fix something that needs fixing instead of these arcane "improvements."

  45. I'm not sure how you can bypass or remove the dialogue, but you can use the Batch Print (File, Batch Print) option to get a different print window that doesn't show that dialogue. You could add Batch Print to the Quick Access Toolbar (right click on the Home tab, choose Customize Quick Access Toolbar, and choose Batch Print from the File menu).

  46. I have been working with Nitro. I have performed a fresh installation with and without "Bitdefender" enabled. The result is the same. I am finding it doesn't even work for a day or two anymore, it is slow out of the box. Opening a PDF takes a long time and if I click the print icon I can go and make a cup of coffee (exaggeration). In my opinion, this is related to the Fall Update.

  47. @bsc Supposedly this issue is going to be fixed in the next update, but if you don't want to wait until then, there is a workaround you can apply. If you're comfortable with editing the registry, you can force Shrink to Fit on always. I'll mention the usual warnings about the registry: Be careful making changes- things can break easily, and hard; make sure the thing you are trying to add or change matches exactly- many things are case-sensitive. Make a backup first. In this case, it's fairly low-risk to edit the registry and add the key you need here (it's a user key, instead of a machine key so you won't need admin rights). Open the registry, and go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nitro\Pro\11.0\Settings\Preferences\PrintSettings. If PrintSettings does not exist, please create it (New Key). Inside PrintSettings, please add a new String Value, and call it kPagePrinterScaleSelector. Double-click on your new string value, and enter in one of the following values: /i 0 (No page scaling) /i 1 (Expand page scaling) /i 2 (Shrink to fit)

  48. Here's some reasons that may or may not convince you: The official list of new features: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/answers/Nitro Pro/000002288 The Nitro 11 release notes: https://www.gonitro.com/product/documentation/release-notes Nitro 10 isn't being updated, except for any security updates it might get. If you want to use Dropbox from inside of Nitro, you'll need Nitro 11 as Nitro 10 doesn't support the new Dropbox API. Hope that helps!

  49. So, this is weird, but there is a rotate tool, you just can't access it normally, because the regular rotate tool is blocked by the PDF's security settings. You'll need to add the "Temporarily rotate view" tool to the Quick Access Toolbar at the top, and/or assign it a shortcut key. To do this: Click the arrow above the tab names, and choose More Commands. Where it says "Choose commands from:", click on the drop-down and select "Page Layout". Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Temporarily rotate view". Click "Add". If you don't need a keyboard shortcut key for this, you're all done, and can click "OK". If you do want to assign a keyboard shortcut (for this, or anything else), click on the "Customize" button. Under "Categories", scroll down to "Page Layout" and click on that. In the "Commands" list, scroll down to "Temporarily Rotate View" and click on it. You can then set the shortcut combo you want. I encourage you to submit another ticket asking for a change to the Rotate tool to break out the "Temporarily rotate view" option: https://www.gonitro.com/support/ticket
