Nitro Pro Freezes when I try to combine PDFa

Recommended Posts

James O'Briant

I just completed 13 days of the 14-day Free Trial, and Nitro Pro performed flawlessly. So I purchased the product.

Now, the first time (after purchase) that I try to combine 7 one-page PDFs into a single 7-Page PDF, I have two issues:

(1) The first three times I tried it, I selected the 7 PDFs, but instead of loading them into the program, the program froze.

     (a) I could open all 7 files at the same time, but could not open them in the COMBINE window.

(2) The next two times I tried it, the "Add Files" menu won't open, so I can't select the files.

     (b) Now I cannot open ANY files -- clicking OPEN and then clicking on any recent file locks up the program.

I need to get these issues solved, and quickly. I do a LOT of work with sheet music in PDF format, and I have projects waiting.

This program came to me highly recommened from another user whom I trust. What am I doing wrong?

Hello @James O'Briant,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums and our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

I recommend that you repair your Nitro Pro. Please reboot your computer before and after running this repair to ensure that there are no ties to Nitro still active in the background. You may refer to this article:   https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000004603

If repairing did not help and in order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the build of Nitro Pro are you working with?

You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 13.X.X.X, e.g. 13.2.3.26) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
