Eric Wollard Posted August 25, 2020 Report Posted August 25, 2020 Hava a licensed and activated copy of Nitro pro v. 13.9.1.155. Every time I start get an "Error 401" and have to click through to proceed, annoying to say the least. Have tried updating and uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Also have to log in to Nitro online either a) before using app or b) before using any online feature like signing no matter whether I check the "remember me" check box or not. 2
ira@iramarks.com Posted October 1, 2020 Report Posted October 1, 2020 I have the same problem when I open Nitro Pro. Any solution available, Nitro?
Bradley Walden Posted October 1, 2020 Report Posted October 1, 2020 I receive the same error. Started yesterday Sept 30th 2020. Anyone have the solution?

Robert Lagas Posted October 19, 2020 Report Posted October 19, 2020 Hello @AllainU, I also face the 401 error on starting up Nitro Pro. However I have version 12.16.3.574. Can I also update to the 13.13.2.242 version or is there a separate solution for version 12? 1
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted October 19, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted October 19, 2020 Hello @Robert Lagas, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?: 1. Does logging in and out of Nitro Cloud within Nitro Pro resolve this issue? If so, is it only momentary? Do you see this when you keep the program open and running? 2. Does this error appear when launching certain features (i.e. signing into your Nitro Cloud account) or does this appear every time launching of the Nitro Pro desktop program (without opening any PDF file)? 3. Do you encounter this after connecting and then disconnecting from the Internet or does it happen while you remain connected? If so, how stable is your Internet connection? Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
Lane Lewis Posted October 19, 2020 Report Posted October 19, 2020 I have started getting the error 401 on all my computers as well. We are using Nitro Pro 12.0.108 and the problem started today. We have tried restarting the program and rebooting the computers. Please advise. 1
Lily Xiao Posted October 19, 2020 Report Posted October 19, 2020 @AllainU, I have same kind problem as "ERROR 401"
Robert Lagas Posted October 20, 2020 Report Posted October 20, 2020 Hi @AllainU , thank you for your help. I have logged in and out and for now this resolved the issue. By the way: it only occurred (every time) when I launched the Nitro Pro desktop program. Thank you again and have a nice day. Robert
Mitty Posted October 20, 2020 Report Posted October 20, 2020 @AllainU I am getting the error 401 everytime I open a file or launch Nitro Pro desktop. I click OK and file/program will open fine. It is really annoying though and wastes my time. I'm on Nitro Pro 13.2.3.26

Mitty Posted October 20, 2020 Report Posted October 20, 2020 Thank you, is this an update or do I need to uninstall first?
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted October 20, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted October 20, 2020 19 hours ago, Lane Lewis said: I have started getting the error 401 on all my computers as well. Hello @Lane Lewis, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! To further assist you, please update to 12.16 by referring to these steps: 1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files. Kindly note Appdata folder is hidden and to unhide it, please refer to this article https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/ 2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307 3. Clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package. 4. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.16 using below offline installers: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq 5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number 6. Logout and re-login to your Nitro Sign account. Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
