Problem with Serial Number

Anna Kephart

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I finally upgraded my laptop after many years.  I tried to reinstall Nitro PDF using my serial number (234600-xxxxxx-xxxxxx) but it isn't working, and I used the deactivation process and it still isn't working.  What should I do?  My serial number shows up in the activation portal, but when I enter it in the program itself, I get the error message that "this serial number does not exist."  Thank you!

Hello @Anna Kephart,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Before continuing, please be aware that Nitro Pro 11 or older are already discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy . With that, support for the discontinued versions are no longer available.

If you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with a discounted rate, kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 7 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade

You may also want to purchase Nitro VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance) that entitles users to free upgrades for the next release of Nitro Pro and Premium Support for one year after the purchase date. (Premium Support is prioritized ticket support with our Technical Support staff/Nitro Customer Success and Service Team for one year after the purchase date).

You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13 and to know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply!  Where can I upgrade only Nitro Pro, instead of bundling with Nitro Sign (which I don't need)?  Also, when is Nitro Pro 14 expected to come out?  I see that Nitro Pro 13 came out a year ago, and new versions seem to be getting released roughly every year.  I would rather hold off and wait to upgrade if a new version is imminent.

Thanks,

Anna

Hello @Anna Kephart,

Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade to the latest version without it bundled with Nitro Sign.

With regard to the release of Nitro Pro 14, its release date is not yet available to everyone.

Thank you for choosing Nitro and stay safe always!

Hi AllainU,  I am having the same problem.  I purchased 2 licenses for Nitro Pro 10 version, and my computer crashed. I am not able to find my original CD that came with my order.  Is there anyway to get another cd to reinstall Pro 10 version? or get the system to honor the licenses I already paid for?

Hello @sabine,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

With the release of Nitro Pro 13, please be informed that we no longer support the version (Nitro Pro 11 and below) of your Nitro Pro as per our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy that is why we highly recommend that you upgrade by going to our Upgrade Portal https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade

If you would like to trial our latest product, Nitro Pro 13, you can download it from here:  https://www.gonitro.com/download

It will run as a full featured product for 14 days! After that, if you choose not to purchase it, you can still use it as a PDF reader. You can learn all about some of the features here: https://www.gonitro.com/resources/videos

However if you prefer working with an older version and as a courtesy, may download our Nitro Pro 10 installers from this page because our marketing can no longer provide CD for old versions: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/online/000004464

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number.

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.

Thank you for your quick response AllainU.  If I choose to upgrade, only one of my licenses, ( I have 2) will it keep the same license # and how many computers (Desktop/laptops) can I add the new upgrade to?
