Christina Torres Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 Hello, For the past few days, I have been getting a popup anytime I open a document. An error has occurred within our system. Please try again or contact support if this error persists. (Error 401). I just "repaired" the app and rebooted the PC just as instructed in past posts but this didn't resolve the issue. If I click on "OK" I can use the product fine, it just is annoying to have to address it at every document open. Please let me know what other steps I can do to resolve. thanks!

Christina Torres Posted October 21, 2020 Author Report Posted October 21, 2020 Thank you, it resolved the issue. is there a setting to make sure Nitro updates on it's own, or where can I easily go and do manual updates if there is one?
craig bailey Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 I am receiving the very same error on my version 12: Nitro Pro 12.0.0.112 Is there a patch for version 12 too?
Brian Grimmer Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 Same here - Error 401 every time I start Nitro, but it still opens. I'm on v12.16.3.574.
craig bailey Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 I have new information: My nitro pro was 12.0.0.112 There is no in-app method of checking for an update. It turns out the latest version of release 12 is 12.16.3.574. YIKES! (I apparently had missed a bunch of updates.) SO I downloaded the current version of 12 from the nitro website: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads and that webpage holds the current revision of the update. 1. uninstall 12.0.0.112 2. install 12.16.3.574 3. log out of the online portal from within the NitroPro application 4. log back in using the login button. 5. restart Nitro - and no more Error 401. Do this before version 12 is deprecated. With a current activated license of 12, you'll be able to update and flush the 401 error.
Brian Grimmer Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 Thanks Craig! I was missing the 'log out/in' step. That fixed it for me.
