Installing Nitro Pro 11

I am trying to install Nitro Pro 11 and during the installation process and I received the a pop up and it will not let me continue.  It says "The following applications are using files that need to be updated by this set up.  Close these applications and then click retry to continue set up."  It is referring to Brother Control Center.  I have uninstalled Brother Control Center and do not have it on my computer any longer.  Why is it saying this and how do I continue with the set up?  Please HELP!!!

Before continuing, please be aware that Nitro Pro 11 or older are already discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy . With that, support for the discontinued versions are no longer available.  

If you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with a discounted rate, kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 11 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade 

You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13 and to know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes 

In addition to that and many other feature improvements, version 13 also contains some important security vulnerabilities fixes that you might want to consider when deciding whether to upgrade to it or not. However if you prefer working with an older version and as a courtesy, kindly close ControlCenter4 (little orange icon) from your Task bar's System Tray should do the trick.

Thank you for the information.  I do not mind the older version.  I have uninstalled ControlCenter4 completely and I am still receiving the message I stated earlier.  It will not allow me to move forward.  Please advise.

Hello @Megan Arconti,

I have had a user in the past where he/she uninstalled ControlCenter completely (from Program and Features) and was able to install after closing ControlCenter4 (little orange icon in the Task Bar's System Tray.

Are you not seeing the same icon your System Tray?

Hello

Ok - I did that and installed Nitro 1164-bit (below).  Once I installed it, it says trial expired.  I tried to sign in and received the message "An error occurred within our system.  Please try again and if it persists contact support error (403).  Please advise.

 

If your Serial Number is provisioned for a legacy version of Nitro Pro 10 or 11, please use the appropriate installer linked below:

Hello @Megan Arconti,

Thank you for this information.

I have logged into our server and I can see you have not activate your Nitro Pro 11.

Kindly activate your copy of Nitro Pro by going to Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate, entering your serial number and clicking Activate.

With regard to the error 403 message, please be aware that this is related to the Sunset Policy I mentioned above where we have also disabled Nitro Sign integration within the program.

As a work-around, please open your Internet browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer) then go to https://cloud.gonitro.com.  Login from there using your Nitro Sign account. Once successfully logged in, go to 'My Documents' section then click the 'Add' button to upload a document.
