Error -2023 Nitro Pro has encountered an error with your license

Hello, I've had nitro pro 13 for a while but started getting this error after an operating system update. I tried to reinstall but still have this error.

"Nitro Pro has encountered an error with your license. Please re-try activation. If you still encounter an error please contact support. Error code: -2023"

 

I tried to click on activation but the button does nothing

Version is 13.16.0.108

Please perform the following steps and see if it will let you proceed with the activation?

1. Download Nitro cleanup tool from the link below:
https://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13400811/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

Please note that this cleanup tool will remove all traces of Nitro Pro including your customize stamps. If you have customized stamps, please refer to the link below about how to transfer/backup stamps:
https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase/#/search/stamp/000004307 

If you do not have any customized Stamps or QuickSign signature, please disregard the above article then proceed with the cleanup.

2. Extract the cleanup utility then run the cleanup tool by double-clicking nitro-cleanup.vbs. A command window will appear during the cleanup process.
3. After the cleanup, restart the computer. 
4. Install Nitro Pro 13.40 by downloading a new installer from the link below (delete the previous installer you saved on your Downloads folder):

https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads - Click the 'Download Nitro Pro 13' link. 

5. Once Nitro Pro 13.40 is installed, activate it by going to Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate. Enter your version 13 serial number then click on Activate.

I am having the same issue.......my laptop had to be reformated........I had Nitro 13.   Since is it difficult to get a message to the Nitro help support and button do not work.......I am frustrate and stuck.   I had Nitro billing company tell me to download the free trial.....it downloaded 14 and my license number is 13.....and I get message telling me it cannot find license number for 13 and it does not exist with 14.....

I have sent emails and no response.......How does one get Nitro support to contact someone........I have never had so much issues with a support has I have with Nitro.     I was able to call several other companies and TALK to customer support to help me......but not Nitro.

And I have tried to UNINSTALL 14 and it will  not let me........

I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. 

To remove Nitro PDF Pro 14 and reinstall Nitro PDF Pro 13 so you can successfully activate using your version 13 license, please try the following: 

1. Download the Nitro cleanup tool from the link below:
https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_14.7.1.21/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip 

Please note that customized stamps will be removed since this tool will remove all traces of Nitro. If you have customized stamps, please refer to the link below about how to transfer/backup stamps: 

https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004509 

Skip this part and move to the next step if you do not have any customized stamps.

2. Extract the cleanup utility then run the cleanup tool by double-clicking nitro-cleanup.vbs. Please be aware that a command window will appear during the cleanup process.
3. After the cleanup, restart the computer. 
4. Download and install Nitro PDF Pro 13 from the link below:

https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - please ensure to click the 'Download Nitro Pro 13' link.   

5. Once Nitro PDF Pro 13 is installed, launch the software and navigate to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate. Enter your serial number then click Activate.
