-24: Activation Error when trying to deactivate Nitro Pro

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to install Nitro Pro on my new computer and need to deactivate my license on my old computer. When I click on "deactivate" a window popped up with the following message "-24: Activation Error - Nitro encountered some issues while attempting to activate"

Has anybody else encountered the same issue? Any idea what to do?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello @Virgie BK,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

We want to make you aware of the change to your product that may affect its activation or deactivation performance (e.g. -24 Error: Activation Error).

To continue offering our customers the very best PDF tools, we have upgraded our servers and has shutdown the one your older version of Nitro Pro runs on so please install Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 using below direct MSI links:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering the same Nitro Pro 11 serial number 234600-xxxxxx-188368

However if you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with a discounted rate, kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter the same serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
