Hello,

My Nitro Pro will not open.  It stays minimized in the task bar.  I have tried a repair and uninstalling and reinstalling.

Hello @Heather Irion,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

This is a common scenario when multiple monitors are being used. When Nitro Pro is opened on a monitor that is later disconnected, it won't default to a current "active" display which causes Nitro Pro to display on the missing monitor. Kindly try these steps:

1. Try rebooting your machine.
2. If not fixed after rebooting, focus on Nitro Pro by clicking on it on the Taskbar.
3. Press the Windows key + Left/Right arrow until Nitro Pro appears.

If above doesn't help, what build of Nitro Pro are you working with? You can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features (format is 13.X.X.X, e.g. 13.2.3.26)

Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Having an issue on RDS with this, user is unable to open PDF's regardless of what server they are on. We are getting the same issue of it opening up but only showing a white screen as a preview if you hover over Nitro and when trying to use the windows key left/right arrow nothing is happening.

Hello @Nathan East,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order to further assist you, could you please provide a screenshot of your 'About Nitro Pro' window under Help tab? This window should show the exact build of the program (format is 13.XX.X.XXX, e.g. 13.38.1.739).

Lastly, could you please provide the serial number of your Nitro Pro?

To send them via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

I am having the exact same issue and it occurred after my machine completed the most recent windows update.  I have tried all of the above fixes and nothing works still not able to view the window.  I believe there is an issue with the windows update and how it interacts with NitroPro.

As an update - we use FSLogix so created a fresh VHD profile for the user and this seemed to solve the issue. Not sure if that helps.

I've same issue since few weeks ago. I use a laptop + external monitor. Laptop is screen #1 and monitor is #2.

I've installed latest release of Nitro Pro 13 (13.46.0.937) and in the laptop W10 Home (updated to latest version) is running. Nitro is the default app to open PDF files.

If I try to open a PDF e-mail attachment double clicking on it,  I see in taskbar the Nitro icon, but nothing happens. Using Alt+Tab, I see the Nitro window open and if I navigate to it, nothing happens. Right clicking on the icon, I see the option to open Nitro, but nothing happens.

Second option, trying to open a PDF file in the computer, result is the same, Nitro shows icon in taskbar but nothing happens.

Last option, in Start menu, I search for Nitro, click on it and icon appears in task bar but window does not opens.

Last test was switching off laptop, disconnect external monitor and switch on. Running same steps, result is the same, icon in task bar but window does not opens.

In conclusion: I cannot use Nitro!

Hello @JosePonce,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

For the sake of initial troubleshooting of this combining issue, we recommend that you repair your Nitro Pro. Please reboot your computer before and after running this repair to ensure that there are no ties to Nitro still active in the background. You may refer to this article: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000004603

If Modify button is greyed-out, please refer to this screencast that will teach you how to go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features and repair your Nitro Pro program or any application installed on your system: https://www.screencast.com/t/rvpUkq40c

After running the repair, kindly focus on Nitro Pro by clicking on it on the Taskbar. press the Windows key + Left/Right arrow until Nitro Pro appears.

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
