Christine Luft
Some days I have several hundred PDFs to scan and I have to verify that they got scanned the right size and did not cut off. I have to open them all and look at the page view and make sure they are intact. Hundreds. And there appears to be no way to enable the navigation pane by default. Every other PDF viewer/editor I have worked with has remembered whether I turned the navigation pane off or on and kept that setting for the next use. However, I cannot find the setting to allow me to keep the navigation pane on. This creates a huge amount of delay and frustration in checking scan integrity. Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted September 23, 2021 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted September 23, 2021 Hi @Christine Luft Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! I understand that you are looking into enabling the Pages pane on the application level so that any documents you open in Nitro Pro will have the Pages pane displayed automatically. Unfortunately, there is no option to do that under Nitro Pro preferences. You will need to manually click the Pages pane button after opening the document in Nitro PDF Pro in order to display it. The only option I found about enabling Pages pane is within the document level. You can do this by opening the document in Nitro PDF Pro then go to File > Document Properties > Initial View tab. Change the Navigation option to 'Pages pane and page'. When done, click Ok to save the Document Properties. The next time you open that document, the Pages pane will be enabled by default (please note that this workflow is per document). Kind regards,
Christine Luft
I do not open the document more than once, typically. I need to be able to see the page view when I open the document for the first (and only) time. Can this be a requested feature? Every other PDF viewer/editor enables this functionality.
