Change my email address (Email in use)

Dears,

I've tried everything to change my email address without any luck.
I accidently changed the email to  a.****@onyx.com (which does not exist)
While the correct email is a.****@onyxinv.com

Now whenever I try to change it, the systems response that (email in use)

Note:
The system didn't verity my incorrect updates and therefore I am stuck with this incorrect email and our clients assume it exists.
