Unable to upgrade

When upgrading, I get the error "We were unable to validate your serial number. Please ensure you entered it correctly. If you believe you are eligible for an upgrade, please leave a post on our Community Forum and update us with your issue."

My SN# is 234601-xxxxxx-970216 Ver 13.8.2.140.

Can you extend the 50% upgrade discount?

Hello @S. Goldman,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Looking at your account records, you are getting an error message because you already upgraded your Nitro Pro 12 with serial number 234601-xxxxxx-970216 to Nitro PDF Pro 13 with serial number 504959-xxxxxx-220767 last 1/1/2020.

In order to update to our latest release which is Nitro PDF Pro 13.58, please use our offline English MSI packages below:

x32 https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_13.58.0.1180/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_13.58.0.1180/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq

Important: If you are using Chrome or any of the Chromium-based browsers (e.g., Vivaldi, etc.) and you are unable to access the above installer links, you're more than likely experiencing the results of a new security feature that was silently pushed out to the browsers, which blocks .exe/.msi/etc downloads without any visible error or prompt on the browser's frontend user space. In order to bypass this, please try these steps:

a. Right-click the link you're trying to download, and select "Save link as..."
b. Choose your save location and select "Save"
c. On the bottom edge of your browser window, the Downloads bar should now appear and the file will show up with a red error icon, attempting to block the download. Press the caret button and select "Keep"

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.

I had the same issue, many thanks for the posting.  Is there anything coming to manage licenses online in a portal or in the support portal?

Thanks,

Barry O

Hello @Barry Ogletree,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Unfortunately, we do not have a native solution or portal to manage Nitro Pro activations at the current time.

As a workaround, we would recommend always maintaining a list of this Nitro Pro-specific Computer ID for each corresponding user. One good scenario is that in the event of a system failure and you were not able to deactivate the license, you can refer to this list to get the Computer ID then send it to us for manual deactivation.

Please refer to these steps on where you can gather the Computer ID on each installations:

a. Click the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Deactivate.
b. In the Nitro Pro Activation Assist dialog, click Advanced.
c. On the next dialog box you will see the Computer ID.

Kindly note when it comes to activation and the records we keep, our logs are based on a Computer ID which is generated and stored exclusively within Nitro Pro's user interface. We are unable to see the computer names/user names that you are using for the machines internally.

I understand that this will require effort and time, however, having this list will help you track your Nitro Pro license usage.

Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
