Error 401 used to be a fan but they have gone downhill

I have been a longtime use and advocate for Nitro Pro for sometime. However, their links for confirming or accessing serial numbers and getting the product activated is more difficult than cracking the codes of a bank safe.   My about page does not have a serial number and I cannot locate the activation email either.   I am about ready to go to another software as this is terribly frustrating.   Any help from fellow users would be appreciated.

I understand that you are getting a 401 error when opening Nitro Pro.
Please try the steps below and see if this resolves the error:

1. Open your Nitro PDF Pro then close the 401 error message if it shows up. 
2. At the top right, click the Logout then close Nitro Pro.
3. Open Nitro PDF Pro then click the Login button and login using your Nitro Sign account. 

If the 401 error message happens again, please provide the exact version and build of your Nitro Pro. This information can be located under the Help tab > About Nitro Pro.

If the software is activated, part of the serial number is displayed in the About Nitro Pro section.
The serial number is not completely displayed to protect it from any theft and unauthorized use. The complete serial number is included in your invoice receipt, you can search your email and look for the email with subject line 'Your Nitro Productivity Suite'. 
Let me know if you do not see the email so we can search for your records and give your serial number.
