Cursor won't select desired area to edit

I've been using Nitro PDF Pro for many years.

2 days ago, the program started malfunctioning.

When I try to select characters for editing, the cursor will not select the desired characters. 

When I click on an area, the selection is made away from where I place the cursor.  No where close to what I'm trying to select.

I've tried the "REPAIR" feature on the control panel and no luck fixing it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and still no luck fixing it.
