Cannot activate Nitro Pro 12 on my new laptop

I'm trying to install Nitro Pro 12 on my new laptop with serial #234***************. I can't even submit a support ticket because the system won't recognize my serial number. I  keep getting a "-24" activation error.

Please note that we no longer support earlier builds of Nitro PDF Pro 12 including older versions. Their activation servers have been shut down, thus, any activation or deactivation attempt on these versions will no longer work. Also, access to the installer for these versions are no longer available.

We recommend upgrading to our latest version, Nitro PDF Pro 13, which comes with significant stability and security improvements, as well as many feature enhancements, in particular in conversion and OCR functions. 
To upgrade to Nitro PDF Pro 13 with a discounted price, please visit our Upgrade page at https://www.gonitro.com/support/upgrade 

Alternatively, you can continue to use your existing serial number by installing the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 12 which is 12.16.9.574.
Per our Sunset Policy, https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/sunset-policy, we stopped making feature enhancements to version 12 once we released Nitro PDF Pro 13.  

You can find the Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 installer from the link below and activate it with your current Nitro Pro serial number:

Once Nitro PDF Pro 12 is installed, you can activate it by going to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate. Enter the serial number then click Activate.

Thank you. While I appreciate your help with this, I've never had this much difficulty installing a piece of software. I may consider upgrading in the future, but $89.99 is pretty steep for an upgrade, and it's not in my budget at this time.

Hello,  I am having the same issue. I'm stuck in a loop trying to active my license on my new laptop. I checked and do have the version 12.16.9.574 downloaded. It says I have 0 licenses activated, but I need to select a device to deactivate, but there are no active? My license # is 504****************

Also it says my license doesn't exsist, but I just deactivated my old laptop andI pulled my serial # from my invoice. Doesn't make sense?

Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums!

Your serial number is a version 13 license and this requires a Nitro PDF Pro 13 installation. You can see this information using the license portal at https://licenses.gonitro.com/prd/portal, there is a section stating the version of the license. 

To resolve this activation issue, please uninstall your existing installation and then install Nitro PDF Pro 13:
https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - click the 'Download Nitro Pro 13' link.   

Once Nitro PDF Pro 13 is installed, you can activate it by opening Nitro then navigating to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate and then entering the serial number then clicking Activate.
