Tom Collier
I get a "nitro pro setup wizard failed" when I try to install Nitro Pro 13. I'm using Windows 10, and I currently have Nitro Pro 11, and just purchased the 13 upgrade. What do I do? I'm thinking of uninstalling 11, but am afraid that if I do, and 13 still doesn't install, I'll have no version at all that will work.

Tom Collier
When I try to upgrade to Nitro Pro 13 when I bought (now a month ago), it starts upgrading and then stops and says that installation failed. I posted this question before, but got no reply.

Tom Collier
I just tried this and got the following error message: "Nitro Pro Setup Wizard ended prematurely". Any other help that you can give me would be appreciated.
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted June 26, 2023 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted June 26, 2023 Hi @Tom Collier Could you please confirm if you were installing Nitro PDF Pro 13 using the provided MSI installer (link above)? Also, is this a new/fresh installation or there's already a previous installation that has been removed on the computer? If the latter, could you please check the Programs and Features on your Windows machine, under Control Panel, then see if there is still a Nitro Pro installation? Kind regards,
Tom Collier
Thank you, and sorry for the sporadic replies. The reason for the sporadic replies is that I do indeed have a previous version of Nitro that I am using, so this hasn't been an emergency or anything like that. And yes this is supposed to be an upgrade. It's already Nitro Pro on my computer. I currently have Nitro Pro 11.0.3.173. And yes I used the MSI file that I downloaded after purchase to try to install the upgrade. I'm still getting the same error. "Nitro Pro Setup Wizard ended prematurely" shows up in a window and says to try later with "Finish" being the only option to pick to close that window. Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted August 13, 2023 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted August 13, 2023 Greetings @Tom Collier I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Please use our Cleanup tool to remove all traces of Nitro PDF Pro on the machine and then install the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 13 using the MSI installer. I have outlined the steps below: 1. Download the Nitro cleanup tool from the link below:https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_14.7.1.21/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip Please note that customized stamps will be removed since this tool will remove all traces of Nitro. If you have customized stamps, please refer to the link below about how to transfer/backup stamps: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004509 Skip this part and move to the next step if you do not have any customized stamps. 2. Extract the cleanup utility then run the cleanup tool by double-clicking nitro-cleanup.vbs. Please be aware that a command window will appear during the cleanup process. 3. After the cleanup, restart the computer. 4. Download and install Nitro PDF Pro 13.70.7.60 from the link below: 64bit - https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_13.70.7.60/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi 32bit - https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_13.70.7.60/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi 5. Once Nitro PDF Pro 13.70.7.60 is installed, launch the software then navigate to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate. Enter your serial number then click Activate.
