Not able to upgrade to Nitro version 14

I have a paid license of Nitro 13 with its corresponding serial number, but cannot upgrade to version 14 upon following the instructions provided in your site. What may be the problem here?

Please provide the serial number that you would like to upgrade to version 14 so we could check the status and eligibility for the upgrade.

The people at Nitro are thieves. I own a v10 and can use it but only the basic features. In order to even delete blank pages from pdf scans or rotate images, etc., I have to sign up. But they "no longer support" v.10 and their "servers are down" which would cost them about $0.00 to have turned on. So they're forcing you to try to buy their latest stuff (that they will "no longer support") in just a few years so they can get more money out of you then too. 

Don't feed the animals. Move to Kofax. You can even CALL them for tech support.

Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with checking your upgrade issue until we have the complete/full serial number. 
Please provide the full serial number or the email address you used to purchase the license so we can search the purchase record and determine the serial number.

We would like to inform you that support for Nitro Pro 12 and earlier versions has been discontinued, and they have reached their end of life. 
Users who own a serial number corresponding to these versions can continue utilizing their license as long as Nitro PDF Pro 12.16.9.574 remains installed on their system.

While the old activation servers have been shut down, all the old serial numbers were successfully migrated to the new activation server. This enables all the old (valid) licenses to activate the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 12 which is 12.16.9.574. 

I understand that you have a version 10 license and this should allow you to activate Nitro PDF Pro 12.16.9.574. 
If you cannot activate this version 12 build, please provide your serial number so we could look into it.
