Frank Sarduy
I purchased a new Windows computer and am trying to get Nitro Pro installed on it. I deactivated the serial number per Nitro's instructions. When I look up the serial number, it now says I have 0 "number of activations" and 2 "number of activations allowed." However, after installing Nitro Pro on my new computer, I could not get the serial number to work. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled Nitro Pro for Windows, but when I try to open it, I can see the Nitro app in my taskbar, but it won't open. If I hover over the Nitro app in the taskbar, the preview box shows a white box that says Nitro PDF Pro at the top. But again, the software does nothing when I click on it or try to open it up, other than appearing in my taskbar. Thanks in advance for your help! Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted June 15, 2023 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted June 15, 2023 Greetings @Frank Sarduy Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! Please try to run Nitro PDF Pro as administrator by searching for the Nitro PDF Pro icon in the Windows search then right-click the icon and select Run as administrator. If the Nitro PDF Pro is up, please go to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro and take note of the version. Please ensure that the version on your application matches the version of your serial number. To check the version of your license, you can use the license portal. If the version of the application matches the license, kindly proceed with activation. Open Nitro PDF Pro, navigate to the Help tab > About Nitro PDF Pro > Activate, enter the serial number, and click Activate. Kind regards,
Frank Sarduy
@Reymund Oyong Thank you for the feedback. My license is for Version 13, so I uninstalled Nitro PDF Pro and reinstalled Version 13. I was then able to activate the license. However, even when I run it as the administrator, the Nitro software still does not work. I can see the Nitro icon in the taskbar, but the I cannot get it to open up on the screen. What do I need to do next? Thanks!
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted June 20, 2023 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted June 20, 2023 Hi @Frank Sarduy Please try the following and see if it helps: 1. Open Nitro PDF Pro again. 2. From the Windows Taskbar, focus on Nitro Pro by clicking on it. 3. Press the Windows key + Left/Right arrow on your keyboard until the Nitro Pro window appears. Sometimes this happens when Nitro PDF Pro is stuck outside the displayed area on your monitor. You can also check if you can move the Nitro Pro window (in case it's off-screen) by holding Shift and right-clicking the Nitro Pro icon in the Taskbar and selecting, "Move". Then, continuously press the Left/Right arrow key on your keyboard until it appears on the screen. You may also try Maximizing the application in the Task Manager > Processes tab. When you see the Nitro PDF Pro icon under the Processes tab of Task Manager, expand it then right-click and select Maximize. Kind regards,
Frank Sarduy
@Reymund Oyong Thank you so much, that solved the problem! I have no idea why Nitro was stuck off screen, as I've never experienced that with other programs before. But that took care of the issue, so thank you!!!
