M Williams
When we create a PDF from within Microsoft Word, the default "save to" location is "Documents." It would be less inconvenient if we could change that to "Desktop." Where can that be changed?
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted May 3 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted May 3 Greetings @M Williams Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! If you are using the Nitro PDF Pro Word add-in, you can assign a target location. You can configure this when you click the Advanced option under the Nitro PDF Pro tab. If you are printing the Word document to PDF using a Nitro PDF Creator printer, you can also configure the target folder. To configure this option, please access the Nitro PDF Creator printing preferences in Windows Printers & Scanners. Please refer to the steps below: 1. Using Windows Search, search for Printers & Scanners. 2. In the Printers & Scanners, click the Nitro PDF Creator and select Manage > Printing Preferences. 3. Under the Nitro PDF Creator tab, change the Target Folder. Kind regards,
Marc Schreiber
Nitro PDF Pro for Mac does not have the same GUI as displayed. How do I change the default location (now iCloud) to Desktop, etc?
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted July 4 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted July 4 Greetings @Marc Schreiber Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! The Nitro PDF Pro for Mac was formerly known as PDFpenPro. Nitro bought the software and rebranded it as Nitro PDF Pro for Mac. Regarding the save location, the Nitro PDF Pro for Mac remembers the last saved location. So, if you use the Desktop location to save the file, this location will be remembered the next time you save another file. Kind regards,
Marc Schreiber
I have saved files many, many times in Nitro PDF Pro. Here are the scenarios and results: 1. New scan--> defaults to Nitro folder in iCloud. If I change save folder, it saves to that folder, but only that file. If I scan again it defaults to Nitro folder. 2. Open existing file-->default save location is the current location. If I change save folder, it saves to the new folder, but only for that file. 3. Open existing file--> Extract page(s)--> defaults to original file location but can change to another. Any other extracts default to original location. When I check my version, the app says the current version is 13.2 and I am running 13.3.Makes no sense.
