AlldayCPA
I am trying to find a faster way to Quickly move a group of pages to another location in a very large document. I know about the click (and Shift-Click) option to drag a page, or range of pages from one location to another. However, some of my documents are sever hundred ages. It is extremely time consuming to move pages from the end of a document to somewhere near the beginning. Thanks for any help, if there is another, more efficient way. Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted May 15 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted May 15 Greetings @AlldayCPA Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! You may consider the Extract, Save, and Insert workflow and see if it works for you. Here are the steps: 1. On the first document, use Shift-Click to select the pages that you would like to move to another location. 2. Right-click the selected pages, then click Extract pages. 3. In the Extract pages window, the Selection option should be selected, and 'Delete pages after extraction' should be checked. 4. Click Extract. This will create a new tab with the extracted pages. 5. Save the file with extracted pages. 6. Select the tab of the first document, then go to the Page Layout tab and click Insert > Insert from file. 7. Click Add files, then add the file with extracted pages. 8. Click Next, then on the location, you have the following options: 9. Click Insert. AlldayCPA
Dear Reymund, Thanks for your suggestion. It may or may not work. I guess it will work when I have just a limited number of pages to move. It could be time consuming, and complicated, if I have to make several extractions. I appreciate your feedback and may use your method to see how it suits my needs.
