When I open and then close a PDF, if I try to rename the folder that contains the PDF, Windows displays a popup warning that the folder is in use. I ran Process Explorer (from Sysinternals) and found that the folder is still open by NitroPDF.exe and Nitro_Slider.exe. If I quit NitroPDF.exe, Process Explorer shows that the folder is no longer open in any processes.
The only way for me to rename the folder is to first close Nitro Pro.
As a suggestion, once all PDF files in a folder are closed, perhaps close the directory handle to allow renaming the folder. This could be achieved by keeping a count of open files per directory, and closing the directory handle when the count reaches zero.
