CAN'T EDIT AFTER SAVING

Hi, I have Nitro Pro  Version 10.5.9.9

When I open a document and add text to fields > save as> close doc>open doc> can not edit text in fields previously

I find this very frustrating. I used to be able to do this it no longer. I am using many various types of .pdf created online > downloaded> created via adobe DC...nothing is editable.

 

Now the problem is even WORSE! Part way through fill in the fields without even saving and closing I go back to edit a field and it is not possible.

If I ca not resolve I will be deleting program and buying adobe dc as I use this daily and it is costing me money.
