Unable to Edit Scribus 1.4.6 Standard PDF

I recently received a PDF file that required text edits. Using Nitro Pro 9, I am unable to select text or to place a pointed in a line of text to edit. The document properties states it was created using Scribus 1.4.6 and the PDF version is 1.4 (Acrobat 5.X). 

Can it be edited using NitroPro 9.0?

I am experiencing difficulties uploading the 10 MEG PDF file. I attempted it twice and the get does not complete but goes into an endless loop. Is the problem my end or yours?

Is there an alternate way to get the file to you?
