Nitro Pro will not start

All of a sudden this evening, it will not start.  Shows it is using 14% of the CPU but will not open.  Rebooted computer and tried to start Nitro Pro, same result.  I have the current version, but I cannot open it to read the serial number.

I did open a support ticket but by the time they responded Nitro Pro was working again.  This is the third time this year that the program went beszerk or shut down entirely for a matter of several hours and then restored itself.  There must be something happening on Nitro Cloud level (even though I do not use that).  The prior incidents are documented on this forum.
