Tidal

Deactivation

Question

Tidal

Recently one of my clients had all their machines upgraded and whilst Nitro was deactivated just fine on some machines, others generated deactivation certificates that it told me to use online to finish the uninstallation. The only thing is no one seems to know what the link to the page was and my google skills cant seem to find the page either. Some of the deactivations were done during a network maintenance window and so no internet connection was present hence the certificates.

I emailed in a ticket but got told that I would need software assurance. That's not great considering this product has been paid for. Yes its not the newest package but I should still be able to use it on new machines as it does all we need it to.

My ticket number for one specific key example is 00153923 but I do have a couple of keys I need deactivating.

I have no deactivations so I can't reinstall Nitro PDF - my original computer with Nitro PDF crashed and I now have a new computer. I have downloaded the  trial version and can use it for 14 days, but am unable to use the code from my original installation (provided by Cleverbridge) to get an active copy on my new computer. Please help.

Hello @Vikki Y,

Thanks for this information.

As you can see, I edited it to hide from other users.

To further assist you, looks like we need to uninstall the current version of Nitro Pro on your computer and install Nitro Pro 6. We then activate it using your serial number. Kindly follow these steps:

1. Uninstall Nitro Pro from your computer then reboot the machine.

2. Download your Nitro Pro 6 from this page: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/sunset/000001632

If you are unsure if your machine is using 32 or 64-bit, please refer to this link: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000001874

3. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!

I just purchased Nitro 12 for my laptop and am trying to activate my account.  When I enter my serial #, it tells me to click on the "deactivate" button.  I did this and I get a message telling me to "select the device to deactivate".   Problem is, there's no device listed!  Would appreciate your help on this issue asap!

Thanks so much for you attention and helping me!

Hi AllainU,

I was going to send you a screenshot today, but when I opened Nitro, it asked me for my activation code, entered it and now its activated!  According to what I saw last week, I'm allowed two installations, so I'm going to install it also on my desktop tomorrow.

New question--having problems trying to set Nitro 12 as my default .PDF on my laptop and probably on my desktop next.  Windows 10 isn't very helpful.  Can you help with this, please?!?

Thanks again!

Hello @bethpeters,

Thanks for your response and patience.

With Windows 10, please use the steps below to change your default PDF viewer:
1. Find a PDF file and Right Click then go to Open With then "Choose Another App".
2. Navigate or scroll to the program you want to use to open your PDF file and then select this program. For this instance, choose Nitro Pro.
3. Check the box "Always use this app to open .pdf files' then click OK.

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!

Hello @bethpeters,

Thanks for your patience.

Kindly note you purchased a single-user license and it can be used on two machines as long as you follow the rules outlined in our End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.gonitro.com/support/eula

'Licensee may install one copy of the Licensed Software on a single computer. The primary user of the computer on which the Licensed Software is installed may install a second copy of the software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided the software on the portable or home computer is not used at the same time as the software on the primary computer.'

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!

Hello @Skemp,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Are you installing Nitro Pro 11? If yes, please use these offline installers:

x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x64.msi
x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x86.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000001874

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!

Good afternoon,
our company has a license of 11 activations, currently they are all activated but many computers are no longer in use, the former IT manager is no longer in the company, I need to deactivate several licenses that are not in use to be able to reuse them in other equipment, The help menu tells me that I should contact the support team to have them deactivated. Correspond to Nitro Pro 8 my contact email is aromo@xyz.cl
Thank you very much for your time and response

Hi AllainU,

Is this email referring to the email I sent on 06/01/19 about my desktop crashing?  See below for email threads.

Thanks,

I have Nitro Pro installed on both my laptop and desktop.  My desktop crashed and I will be getting a new one soon.  Do I just install Nitro Pro on my new desktop using my activation code?

Thanks,

Beth Peters

Hi Beth @bethpeters,

Thanks for posting on our Community Forums!

Your activation code is now ready for your new desktop. You can download the latest version of Nitro Pro 12 here:

https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads

Using your activation code, please activate your copy using the steps found on this link:

http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/activate/000001639

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Cheers!

I  replied: on 06/03/19:

Hi Kevin V,

Thanks for answering so quickly!  It'll  probably be two weeks before I can get another desktop.  Hope that's ok!

And I replied today (06/30/19):

Hi Kevin V,

As yet, I haven't gotten a new desktop; leaning more towards another laptop.  Hopefully this won't cause any problems when I do purchase one!

Thanks,

Beth Peters
