There is no setting to automatically FIT the pdf printouts to the page size on the printer under Scaling. I often receive A2 or A1 Drawings, and would like to have a Fit to Page option, so that oversized pages automatically print on my A4 printer. Currently all I get is an A4 print from the middle of the drawing page! The Scaling Settings should remain from document to document as a default setting.
I know there is a means of choosing the Page Scaling options to be:
None
Expand to fit printable area
Shrink to fit printable area
Each of these is exclusive, and prevents you from choosing more than one option. If you have Shrink to fit printable area and Expand to fit printable area both selected, you will solve my dilemma.
Another options would be to have a more simple option of Fit page size to printable area which would expand or shrink depending on the specific page. I have documents that include A5, A4 and A3 page sizes – I have to print each page type separately and then collate them manually!
