Bill Samuel 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2018 Nitro Pro 11 will not open on my Windows 10 PC. It gets an error message: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. I used Control Panel to do a Repair on Nitro Pro. but that did not help.
Kelvin V. 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2018 Hi @Bill Samuel, Thanks for posting on our community forums! Let's do a fresh install with the help of our cleanup tool: 1. Reboot your computer. 2. Close down any applications that open automatically. 3. Unzip the following file: http://install.nitropdf.com/support/downloads/cleanup.zip 4. Copy the .vbs script to any local spot on your machine such as your Desktop. 5. Double-click the file to run/execute the script. 6. Reboot your computer once more. 7. Download and Install Nitro Pro 11 using this link: https://www.gonitro.com/product/downloads 8. Make sure your copy is activated: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/activate/000001639 I hope this helps.
Bill Samuel 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2018 OK. This worked. And it activated automatically without me having to do anything. The process reminded me I have done this before, as I overwrote my prior copy of cleanup.zip. Properly functioning software would not require uninstalling and reinstalling all the time. I don't have to do this with other software I have.
Bill Samuel 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2018 And it worked for one-time use. Now I try to make a PDF document, and I get an Unknown Error. Your software is crap. It should not be allowed to be sold it is so defective. It will only work briefly, and then with long delays. I am going to request a refund from sales. It's criminal that you actually take money for something so defective.
Kelvin V. 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2018 Hi @Bill Samuel, Thank you for the update and I apologize for any inconvenience. There are a number of reasons why an Unknown Error message would show up. I've sent a response to your support ticket. Let's continue our conversation there so we can ask for the PDF document you are working on and further troubleshoot. I hope we can sort this out soon and I appreciate your patience.
