Contents of Notes are Note Displaying

Hello,

I created a PDF using Nitro Pro 9 a couple of years ago, which included "Notes" I had pasted through the "review" feature.  When I open the document now (using either Nitro Pro 9, Nitro Pro 11, or Acrobat Reader), I can see the yellow Note icons in the document, but I am unable to see what's in the notes.  Nothing works (I cannot even delete or move the icons).  However, if I insert a new note, I can see its contents (including after saving and reopening the document).  Any help would be appreciated.
