Allie Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 I had a major problem with my computer and had to reformat it. When I try to activate my Nitro Pro licence I get the following message: -23 Error - License number already used. "You have reached the maximum number of installations allowed..." I installed when I got it the first time, and I change computers and move it (the other one was deactivated as the computer died) "If you recently encounter hardware issues and need to install Nitro Pro on another computer, please contact support". Could someone help me?? Thank you Allie
Administrators Alex Edwardes Posted March 1, 2018 Administrators Report Posted March 1, 2018 Hi @Allie, If you would like to move your license to a new computer, or plan on reformatting your computer, I suggest you deactivate first by clicking on: Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Deactivate > Deactivate This will allow you to reactivate again. As you have already wiped the machine, I recommend that you release the seat via our licensing portal. Click on "Solve your activation issues", here: https://www.gonitro.com/support
CPete Posted March 19, 2018 Report Posted March 19, 2018 Seems like the license portal is malfunctioning. I have had a PC unexpectedly crash and had to reinstall all software. While the license portal is says that my license has 0 activations after submitting my license number to the portal, my installation of NitroPDF still says the error "23 Error - License number already used." as the previous commenter. What must be done to get my "valid" license accepted by the NitroPDF software?

Our record shows you are experiencing an issue activating the license is because the computer that the software was installed on did not generate a proper Computer ID (which is a Nitro-specific ID, which generates a unique Computer ID for each computer that the software is installed on). Instead, a Computer ID of all '0's was generated. For additional information please check the link: http://v7.nalpeiron.com/customer/portal/articles/1462338-computer-id-is-all-zeros-v7 On computers that generates this Computer ID, you will need to do the following: 1. Enable NetBIOS. 2. Enable at least one network interface adapter. Once you've completed the above, activate it again. Cheers!
