Nitro 11 Constantly Hanging & Freezing

I've been a Nitro user for many years and installed 11 last Sept/Oct.  Ever since then Nitro constantly hangs or freezes up on me.  Generally it hangs for 5-10 seconds and is then usable again.  Occasionally it crashes and needs to be restarted.  There is no singular function or tool that seems to cause Nitro to hang or crash.  It is basic stuff like scrolling through a document, inserting a page or photo, or trying to edit the doc.  I'd like to continue using Nitro since I have bought it for most of my firm's office staff and installed it on their computers, but if this continues I'm going to look for a new product once our licenses expire.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times, but that had no effect.

For reference, I, along with most of my office, are on new Lenovo ideacentre AIO 520S desktops.  i5 processor, 8 GB ram, and plenty of storage space.   So Nitro should in theory be working well with it.

Any suggestions as to things I can try? Appreciate your help!

Adam

I've seen the suggestion to set the Compatibility Mode for Nitro to Windows 7 (right click the Nitro 11 shortcut on the desktop, go to the Compatibility tab, and select Windows 7 from the list) , and that seemed to help people.  Also, if you can be on Nitro 11.0.7.425, make sure you are.

Adam, I have also been experiencing this. I've contacted customer service about it but haven't seen any improvement so far. Were you ever able to find a fix? Thanks!

Steven - thanks for your reply and suggestion.  This seems to have helped slightly, but unfortunately the program still consistently hangs and freezes up on me.  Any other suggestions?

Not really unless you have Software Assurance (in which case, work with support to figure out what's happening).

There's an update for Nitro 11 coming soon that you could try installing once it releases- I have no idea if that will make any difference.

I'm guessing you've done the repair & reinstall things for Nitro.

I am experiencing the same issue of Nitro freezing every 2-3 minutes for several seconds. This has been going on for months for our entire staff when using Nitro 11 to view PDF files and is worse when trying to edit by typing or redacting. I just had to fill in a 5 page form. In 15 minutes it froze 5 times and at one point I had to close and reopen document because when it started typing symbols instead of the chosen "Century" font.  This happens frequently as well. Our entire staff are loyal Nitro users for the past 4 years, but this is becoming counterproductive. We are using Windows 10 and in Nitro daily for all of our PDF needs.  We have downgraded back to Nitro 9 and 10 on some PCs because they seem to run smoother.

Has there been any resolution to this long term problem of the program hanging up and freezing? I have had Nitro 8 and Nitro 10 and I am afraid to upgrade because of this problem. The program stops working every few minutes and it is a huge drain on productivity. It concerns me that the problem hasn't been fixed with new versions. I have gone down many rabbit holes trying to find a solution and this is my last ditch effort. Please Nitro, what is the answer???
