Invalid Serial Number

I had a problem where I was trying to install my newly purchased version of Nitro 12.  The activation help portal responds with "Please enter a valid serial number" although I have checked and enter the serial number supplied with purchase.  How can I fix this and get the purchased product to activate?  I have double-checked the serial number in the purchase email and all is correct.

I also have this issue where I enter my serial number into the portal and get the same message "Please enter a valid serial number".

I have checked your Nitro Pro 12 serial number and it is still unused. If you're having issues activating, please provide a screenshot of the error message you're receiving.

With regards to the error message you have received after entering your Nitro Pro 12 serial number on our Activation Portal, we're already aware of this issue.

I am experiencing the exact same problem where I have a new PC and cannot download software due to License issues... I followed instructions and attempted to reset Serial Number however every time I enter the number with and without dashes I continue to be asked for a valid number.

I need assistance with this problem please.

Hello @Herbert,

Thanks for posting on our community forums!

I just made an adjustment on your license, so you can now activate your copy of Nitro Pro by going to Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate, entering your serial number and clicking Activate.

Hello Allain,

after imputing the serial number it was accepted however the following tabs are grayed out File, Home, Erase, Protect, help. it looks like the software still on trial period and features are not functioning.

Thanks for your response.

If you do not see the serial number mentioned in About Nitro Pro under Help tab, this could be caused by traces of old Nitro Pro installation in the registry.

Let us try some troubleshooting by referring to these steps:
1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files.

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/support/downloads/cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000001686

3. Extract the utility to the desktop (it doesn't always run from the zip)
4. Run the utility then reboot your machine.
5. Now manually check for left over registries from Nitro Pro (Run > regedit) and delete them. Make sure to save a backup before making any change. Reboot the machine again after deleting Nitro Pro traces.
6. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

7. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.0.0.112 using offline installers:
x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1200112/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1200112/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

8. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.
