Unable to select scanner

Not sure if this is a scanner or nitro issue but I am unable to select my scanner (select scanner drop down menu is blank) to scan a document. Have not had this issue before. Tried rebooting both scanner and nitro to no avail. The router is working fine for other connections. Any thoughts?

Thanks for posting on our Community Forums!

If you would be so kind as to provide us with a little more info, it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Is the scanner appearing in any other programs? 

2. Is this a printer/scanner and is it set as your default printer?
(In the control Panel/Printer options)

3. Have you got all the correct drivers updated for your scanner?

If all the answers are yes, please do a fresh install of Nitro Pro 11 using a different activation engine:

1. Uninstall Nitro Pro from your computer
2. Reboot
3. Download the latest version of Nitro Pro 10 from here:

32-bit http://install.nitropdf.com/pro11/en/retail/nitro_pro11.exe
64-bit http://install.nitropdf.com/pro11/en/retail/nitro_pro11_x64.exe
 
If you are unsure if your machine is using 32 or 64-bit, please refer to this link: http://support.nitropdf.com/entries/21ma503323-32-bit-vs-64-bit-installer
 
4. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro 10, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.
 
5. Try to detect your scanner again.
