Print to PDF Printer not appearing

Trying to save a file as PDF. The printer disappeared from the list. Can't seem to find the printer using Add a printer > Local Printer. The OS is Windows 7 pro and Nitro is pro version 9.0.

I have the same problem, installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 with Nitro 8 & now I can't print to PDF anymore?

I need to let you know that we no longer support Nitro Pro 9 and 8.

They have been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy#sunsetPolicy 

If you prefer to keep using your version, I recommend uninstalling your copy and reinstalling using the installers from the link below. This will ensure that you're on the latest build of your version and re-introduce the Nitro PDF Creator.

Hi Kelvin,

Thanks for the help, unfortunately that didn't fix the problem which is a bit annoying. I understand older products aren't supported anymore but is this issue fixed in the latest updates?

Is there an install for Nitro PDF Creator separately?

Note: in your case for method 2, By default its C:\Program Files\Nitro\Pro 8

Please let me know if this doesn't work for you.

Neither method worked, I got the error message "Installation of the printer driver failed"

Thanks for  your response. 

With their updates, Microsoft has changed the way the 'Print Spooler' works and the PDF Creator built into Nitro Pro 8 may not work properly, though other functions should remain usable.

If I may suggest, here are several options:

1. You could upgrade to Nitro Pro 12: https://www.gonitro.com/support/upgrade

2. You could install Nitro Pro 11 or 12 as a trial (alongside your current installation), just to use the PDF creator.
The Creator will remain after the trial has finished: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads

3. You could install our alternative PDF creator, PrimoPDF: http://www.primopdf.com/

Thanks heaps, I downloaded the trial version of Pro 12 & its fixed the problem. I'll have a play & maybe it will convince me to upgrade!
