PDF Output Settings missing from Single Scan Settings Nitro 12 Pro

The "image compression settings" option is missing from the "Single Scan Settings" dialog box in Nitro Pro 12 (Windows 10 Pro). I cannot adjust the quality / resolution of the scanned document resulting in a very poor document quality / resolution result. Pressing the "scan" button does take me to the Brother Scanner Setup dialog box however regardless of what resolution settings I change there the final PDF document is still very poor quality / resolution. I have Nitro Pro 10 on another computer (Windows 7 Pro). When performing the same scan the image compression settings option is available and so the scanned document result is of good quality / resolution. Am I missing something here!!!???
