Sierra
Hello, I'm trying to install Nitro pro 11 on a Windows 10 pc, however when I try to install it, it downloads fine and when it gets to the install its give the message "Setup wizard has failed" with no error code or any other information. I followed all the steps listed on this page: https://c282190.tryinvision.com/topic/3240-update-failed-setup-wizard-has-failed/?tab=comments#comment-6619 and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted September 18, 2018 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted September 18, 2018 Hello @Sierra, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Let us try some troubleshooting by referring to these steps: 1. Run MS FixIt to clear traces of Nitro Pro from the machine by accessing this page:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed 2. Reboot your machine. 3. After rebooting, manually check for left over registries from Nitro Pro (Run > regedit) and delete them. Make sure to save a backup before making any change. Reboot the machine again after deleting Nitro Pro traces. 4. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package. 5. Download and install Nitro Pro 11.0.8.470 using below offline installers: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1230240/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1230240/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000001874 6. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number. Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!
Sierra
Hi AllainU, I followed all your steps and the installer is still unsuccessful. The MS Fixit did not do anything, i selected problems with installing and then it asked me to pick a program I was having issues installing, nitro wasnt listed so I chose not listed and then the installer couldnt find anything wrong. I wasnt sure where to look for the registry entries, but i search HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and HKEY_USERS in their software folders and found no entries for nitro. Thank you.
