saving in other file formats

can you save PDF's in other file formats like JPEG.  haven't been able to find that capability in the trial version

Yes- all of those options are under the Convert tab.  You can convert a few different image types: JPG, PNG, TIFF, and multi-page TIFF.  Open the file you want to convert, and go to the Convert tab, and then To Image.  You'll be able to pick your image type from the dropdown box that says Image format:.
