Hi there,
We are from the Microsoft Office Application Compatibility Lab team. We are verifying the compatibility between Office Application and Nitro Pro v11 and v12.
The issue we hit is that 1) Unknown Error message pop-up on the first launch and also on after clicking the add-in on Office ribbon and 2) the HELP button in Advanced feature has no response.

The testing environment is on Win7/Win8.1/Win10 with O2010/2013/2016 and O365.

Could you please clarify if these are known issue?

Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Xinxin Zheng

Hello @Xinxin,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

This is a rare case because 'Unknown Error 80' message normally appears when opening Nitro Pro application and is also to related to our 'Nalpeiron Licensing Service', not when clicking Nitro Pro addin in MS Office ribbon.

Could you please confirm if all your testing environments are hosted virtually like in Azure or Hyper-V?

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @AllainU,

Thank you very much for the reply.

Yes, we run the test pass on virtual machine.

And also, the pop-up error message appears after the installation process and after click the add-in on MS apps' ribbon.

Can we ignore the error? As other feature works well.

Any comments, please let me know.

Many thanks.

Regards,

xinxin

Hello @Xinxin,

Thanks for providing this information.

The error message you're receiving is a common error when you installed Nitro Pro using our single-user (or online-user) installer on a virtual machine.

As previously mentioned, it is related to our 'Nalpeiron Licensing Service' which connects to our licensing servers.

Since you're just doing some tests, you can just ignore that error message and continue to use other features of Nitro Pro.

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!
