Nitro Pro 12.0.0.108 Printing Problem

Recommended Posts

In the Software Support Tools section of Nitro, my operating system is listed as Windows 8 Personal 6.2  9200  64bit. But I have Windows 10. I am no longer able to print out a pdf that I have downloaded from the internet.  It is not my connection because I can print from other products - Excel, Word etc. I am not sure why it is saying Windows 8. I went from Windows 7 to Windows 10, have been using Nitro for about 3 years, and have not had a problem where the only thing that comes out of my printer is blank paper. I went to the PDF Creation portion of the Support Tools and reinstalled the PDF Creator printer thinking that might be the problem - same results. I will need to be able to shortly print out the government forms for year end and cannot get anything printed. Can someone tell me how to get this problem corrected, please.  Thank you.

Hello @Donna T,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

When you upgraded from Win7 to Win10, did you reinstall your Nitro Pro or you just reactivated it? If this is correct, you should see a Windows.old folder in your Local C Drive. This behavior normally happens after upgrading the operating system without uninstall and reinstalling Nitro Pro.

Kindly follow these steps to uninstall your previous installation and reinstall the latest build:

1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files.

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/support/downloads/cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000001686

3. Extract the utility to the desktop (it doesn't always run from the zip)
4. Run the utility then reboot your machine.
5. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

6. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.5.0.268 using below offline installers:
x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1250268/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1250268/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000001874

7. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.

Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps as well the blank-printing issue.

Thank you. I followed your instructions today and was able to print out a document that I just downloaded from the internet. So that seems to have solved my problem. Thank you very much for your prompt response.
