Nitro 11.0.3.134 is freezing

I am running Windows 7 Pro Version 6.1.7601. When I open a PDF from Nitro it is freezing and cannot go any further. The only option is to restart the computer by power off from the wall. please help to solve this issue. Thanks

In order for me to further assist you, could you please provide me with the following?:
-Does this happen with every large PDF or just one? Are these files saved on your machine or you're pulling them from a shared drive? Are they AutoCad files by any chance?
-Is it freezing by just opening the PDF or also when editing and scrolling through the pages?
-If it's possible, could you also please update to 11.0.8.470? If yes, please refer to these steps:
1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files.

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/support/downloads/cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000001686

3. Extract the utility to the desktop (it doesn't always run from the zip)
4. Run the utility then reboot your machine.
5. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

6. Download and install Nitro Pro 11.0.8.470 using below offline installers:
x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x64.msi

7. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.

Hi AllainU. 

Our old computer just died and we have a new computer. i have followed above steps to install Nitro Pro on the new computer but i can not find our serial number to activate. could you please help to locate?

Hi

Further to above, i found this serial number.  (Your Serial Number: 234601-xxxxxx-xxxxxx) when i try to activate, it said this is already been used...

Before continuing, please be aware that Nitro Pro 11 or older are already discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy . With that, support for the discontinued versions are no longer available. 

As a courtesy, I just made an adjustment on your license, so you can now activate your copy of Nitro Pro by going to Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate, entering your serial number and clicking Activate.

 

Alternatively, if you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 11 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade 

You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13 and to know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes

Hi AllainU,

Many thanks for your help in sorting this out. i appreciate it very much. 

We don't get to use nitro much at all just using to combine documents. So upgrading option is not financially viable for us. can i please ask another favor from you?

we are upgrading the other computer (computer name"toshiba-pc2") could you please de register Nitro from that PC and allow me to register replacing computer?
