Activating an older version on a new computer

Hi.  I had upgraded my laptop, the old one had Nitro Pro 10 on it, which I was very happy with.  I can't seem to install it on my new laptop.  I have all the files on my new one, but each time I try to activate it I'm told that it's for an older version.  Is it possible to install and activate an older version as I really don't want to have to buy the new version, when 10 was fine for me.

Before continuing, I should let you know that we no longer support Nitro Pro 10 or older. It has been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy

As a courtesy, you may download Nitro Pro 9 installers in this page: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/sunset/000001632

Alternatively, if you were interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 12 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), we could scrap all the old installations and start on a fresh serial number.

Hi. I tried downloading the older version (Nitro 9) but there seems to be an error in the Nitro Wizard. It says "Nitro wizard ended early because of an error" and to try program at a later time.

Thanks for your response and patience:

Kindly open Windows Explorer > Local C > Program Files. If you are seeing a 'WindowsApps' folder (to unhide this folder, please refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files), this is an installation issue that prevented some users to install Nitro successfully. Users who purchased MS Office in Windows 10, via the Online Marketplace were affected by this due to permission issue on that specific folder.

As a workaround, please visit this article and follow the steps properly until step 7:

Once done with the steps, kindly try reinstalling using the same installer you downloaded. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number.

Hi there,

 

Similar issue to the below, had Nitro v9 (64bit, 2014) installed on a laptop that recently crashed (taking with it the original install files). I have a new laptop to which I'd like to install the older v9 please. Can produce the original serial number, CleverBridge customer reference, invoice and install email... but the download link is no longer valid.

 

Is it possible to still download v9 from somewhere?
