Joerg 8 Report post Posted January 3, 2019 We often get back different pdf certificates from a certification company. Nitro Pro 11.0.8.470 is unable to open them, but presents only a password input form. But such a password request should only be presented when trying to modify such certificates, but now for viewing. Other pdf programs like Acrobat Reader or PDF Architect are able to open those certificates without problem.
Joerg 8 Report post Posted January 4, 2019 Does Nobody have an idea why we are not able to open such signed and write protected PDFs with Nitro?

Joerg 8 Report post Posted May 6, 2019 Hi MTZ, Nitro support has confirmed this bug. I've provided them with a sample. Here the answer from support from January this year:: "Upon doing more tests, this is really a weird case since other PDF viewers are not being prompted to enter a password like in Adobe. This is also confirmed if you refer to the attached screenshot so this shouldn't be correct behavior when Nitro Pro is used. Is this only file you're having issue with? If you have 2 or more sample files with the same behavior, would you be so kind to send as copies for further investigation? Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you." Unfortunately I didn't have more examples in our stock. Don't know whether ths bug has been fixed in the meantime or not. I did not receive any updates of the program. Often Nitro put the fixes into new versions where you have to pay again. At the moment we try Foxit Phantom PDF.
