Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted January 10, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 10, 2019 Hello @Gaza, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! The error message you are receiving is commonly caused by old registries from a previous installation causing conflicts with writing to the registry. To address this installation issue, I recommend that you follow these steps: 1. Uninstall using Download our Clean Up utility: http://install.nitropdf.com/support/downloads/cleanup.zip NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000001686 2. Extract the utility to the desktop (it doesn't always run from the zip) 3. Run the utility 4. Reboot 5. Download and install the latest version of Nitro Pro from here: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/sunset/000001632 If the page didn't load, visit http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase and search for 'Locating Installer Links for Retail (Online) Customers'. 6. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation and entering your serial number: _ Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps! Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted January 13, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 13, 2019 Hello @joice64 @Gaza, Thanks for patience and I trust you both are doing great today! Since our Clean-up tool didn't, let us another tool by following these steps: 1. Run MS FixIt to uninstall your Nitro Pro 12: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed 2. Reboot your machine. 3. Manually check for left over registries from Nitro Pro (Run > regedit) and delete them. Make sure to save a backup before making any change. Reboot the machine again after deleting Nitro Pro traces. 4. Clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package. 5. Reinstall your Nitro Pro. Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!

Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted January 16, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 16, 2019 Hello @Gaza, Thanks for your response and patience. Did you receive that message when running MS FixIt? If you could find traces of Nitro Pro in the registry, that would be great but please make sure to save a backup of the registry before making any chances. Once done, reboot your machine and try reinstalling. Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
