"Use of Extended Features is no longer available" when opening file edited in Nitro.

Hi all

I'm doing some work for a colleague. They've created a document with fillable fields, and all I've done is amended the form to stop long strings of text from scrolling off the visible edge of the text box. When I've sent the document back, they can't read the document in Adobe; an error message notes that "Use of Extended Features is no longer available" as the document has been edited since its creation.

How do I work around this? Google tells me to save as "Flattened PDF" but I have had no joy.
