Garret
I have just downloaded the demo to test if I can convert the text within an email & attachment into a pdf. Can this be done on the demo? I can’t tick the box for text or attachments
Power User Steven Zakulec Posted January 16, 2019 Power User Report Share Posted January 16, 2019 This can be done- right-clicking the email will give you the option to create a PDF from the email or the attachment(s) in the email. To create a PDF from selected text in an email, go to the Nitro Pro tab in Outlook (it's usually the last tab). Then you want to click the Create PDF text, and the option to Create PDF from selected text should be available.
Garret
Thanks Steven, looks like that would work but I have about 1000 folders and each one contains about 100 emails and most of these emails have attachments of 75-100kb. Everything has to be converted to PDF. Running nitro freezes the Pc, do you think that’s a Pc problem or a limitation of nitro
Power User Steven Zakulec Posted January 18, 2019 Power User Report Share Posted January 18, 2019 This is going to be a lot of work- there's no easy way to PDF each email+attachments in one step. You can easily make a PDF out of an email, an attachment, or a number of emails, but it's at least a two step process to get one PDF for each PDF+attachment set. If you just wanted the emails as one big PDF, that's really simple- select a group of emails, right-click, and choose Convert to PDF. The closest you can get here is setting Nitro PDF as your default printer (you need this because otherwise the option you want to use won't work correctly), setting the Printer Options to print attachments (the text there says attachments only print to the default printer, which is almost certainly not Nitro PDF), and then printing the email. The first box will come up with a PDF named after the email title, and then the attachments will open and dialogue boxes will open up asking you to name them; here you'll need to rename the attachments if you want them to be a part of the email (this way you'll be asked to append or overwrite the existing PDF- choose append). The Nitro freezing problem you should ask support about- version 12 shouldn't have that problem.
