yiscah
Hi, I'm trying to convert an existing pdf to a fillable pdf. Is there a tool for this conversion that I'm not seeing - or a guide on how to accomplish this?
Power User Steven Zakulec Posted January 17, 2019 Power User Report Share Posted January 17, 2019 There is currently not a tool for this- you'd need to use the Forms tab to create overlay fields for everything. For each field, you'd need to create a corresponding form field that matches using the options in the Forms tab. It's doable, but could take a while depending on how long and involved your form is. Sorry there's not a better option currently- make sure to comment in the Product Improvement forum that you'd like to see some kind of form conversion wizard. KBoardman
I'd love to get info on how to convert an existing document into a form without manually creating each field. Thank you!
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted January 21, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 21, 2019 Hello @KBoardman, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! At the moment, our software does not have an automatic form creation tool. However, you can use the Forms tab in Nitro Pro to add a Text Field or other types of Form fields to the document. The following KB Articles go over the Form tab options: a. Creating and Editing Form Fields: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/forms/000001624 b. Form Tools Summary: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/form/000002192 To edit the Form Fields, you must first use the "Select Fields" option under the Forms tab. Once you've chosen that option, you can right-click and edit the form field's properties or use it to move or re-size the form field. Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps! KBoardman
Unfortunately, as the particular document on which I am working contains nearly 200 fields, it would be too time-consuming to add and resize that many fields. Adobe and other programs have had the automatic form creation tool for many years, so it is disappointing that Nitro Pro still does not. If there is a way to request this feature for a future version, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Noah7
Directly from your website "Whether you have a scanned paper form or a simple form created in Microsoft Word, Nitro Pro can transform it into an intelligent, easily fillable PDF form." This is deceptive marketing, I just bought your software based on this. I will give you 72hrs to fix this, or i am reporting to the FTC.
