cknoell 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2019 Many times I need to delete and insert pages to a document. However, my delete is always grayed out. Is this something Nitro does not do. I used to have a much older version and it did so much more. Now I can't even highlight. Also, when a document is already signed, but my brokerage has to initial the bottom of the page after it has been signed by a customer, the Quick sign is grayed out. Leslie V. 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2019 Hello @cknoell, Thanks for reaching out! Sounds like you are working on a locked file. Some tools are usually greyed out when a PDF file is secured. You can find out by right clicking on a page of the PDF file. Go to Document Properties. And then go to the Security tab. It will look like this if it is locked: I hope that helps! cknoell 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2019 Hi Leslie V, My page says, "No security". Appears that I'm not allowed to change a document (like highlight) or to even extract. Not sure why I cannot delete a page that is not necessary for my own files. Basically I have to print off the document, take out the page, then scan without the unnecessary page. As mentioned in my initial question, in our brokerage we're to initial the bottom of the page and date after receiving a signed document and after reviewing. Is there anyway to edit document properties and do I have to check each document to see what security exists? I love my highlight ability if it would work, like it did on my old Nitro. Litro 1 Report post Posted September 30, 2019 I have the same problem. The document is one that I created (technical). Contains embeded fonts - all permissions are allowed. It contains company prop. information, so cannot share. My Mac built-in PDF reader (preview.app) can delete the pages. Why can't NitroPDF for which I paid 100Euro?
