toniv
I have been using Nitro pro 9 on a Windows 10 Pro computer for some time. When I went to print to the Nitro Pro 9 Virtual printer from Excel 2013, it shows the Nitro pro virtual printer but gives me an error unable to connect. I read through the forums and dowloaded the Cleanup Tool and Nitro Pro 9 application from your website. I ran the cleanup utility, rebooted and reinstalled the program and came up with the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Official Nitronaut Leslie V Posted July 11, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted July 11, 2019 Hello @toniv, Thanks for contacting Nitro! Unfortunately, Microsoft has changed the way the 'Print Spooler' works in Windows 10. Because of this Nitro Pro 9 cannot be supported on Windows. The PDF Creator built into Nitro Pro 9 will not work properly. Though other functions should remain usable. You have three options from here: 1. You could upgrade to Nitro Pro 12: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade 2. You could install Nitro Pro 12 as a trial (alongside your current installation), just to use the PDF creator. The Creator will remain after the trial has finished. 3. You could install our alternative PDF creator, PrimoPDF: http://www.primopdf.com/
