PDF creation from Word does not preserve hyperlinks

Recommended Posts

Using Nitro Pro
I have been using the "Print to PDF" for Word 2016 documents. However, hyperlinks in Word 2016 documents are not preserved (have not tried other Office apps). This is the only issue I have come across with "Print to PDF". Pictures and text are fine.
"Convert links" and "Highly editable (with layout)" are checked in Nitro but hyperlinks are not preserved; they show as regular text (though blue and underlined).
Also, in "Support Tools"/"Advanced", the "Use intelligent PDF creation in the MS Word add-in" is checked (all checkboxes are checked).
Also, in "Support Tools"/"Advanced", in "PDF Creation" all Office products are checked.
The links in Word are created using bookmarks and Word is set to follow hyperlinks with "CTRL + click".

Hello @TPop,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please update to using below links and see if that will help?:

x64-bit: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x64.msi
x32-bit: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/burn/nitro_pro11_ba_x86.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000001874

If updating did not help, would it be possible sending me a private message and provide a sample Word document file you are working with to do some tests on our end?

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Downloaded, and installed, Pro 11 x64.

Same issue. When printing to PDF the hyperlinks are not preserved. Created a new document (nothing but 10 bookmarks) and printed this document using the newly updated Nitro 11. Hyperlinks were not preserved.

Send you the newly created files, docx & pdf.
